Hello! I applied for the Fall 2020 cycle at Pierce, unfortunatlly due to the coronavirus the TEAS test was cancelled. I just wanted for people going through the same thing and for new applicants to have a place for to discuss their application process. How's everyone’s doing?
That’s interesting I got my bachelors in English as well and thought about law. Haha. I might wait on the bachelors program until after school ends. I have a friend who did it during the pierce program and she advised me to wait. A lot of hospitals pay you to go back and get your bachelors so sometimes it’s a better option financially. Things are tight for me right now so unless I receive government assistance I’m holding off on it for now. I looked into the csun program they told us about but it looks like only people without a bachelors can do that. So I need talk to a counselor maybe and see what my best options will be down the line.
Yeah things are tight for me right now too. Unfortunately I got laid off from my job so I’m not working right now. That’s why I don’t know if I want to do a cal state because they’re pretty pricey. My friend is going to do Ohio university online and it’s extremely cheap so I may or may not go that route. But I’m in the same boat as you where I may wait til I’m done with pierce.
So they got back to me about castlebranch. She sent me a link
https://portal.castlebranch.com/lo27
the package we choose is lo27. There’s four options in the drop down but that’s the one.
as far as the paperwork for the doctors they haven’t responded to me about that so I’m not sure. Maybe that will be an option in our castlebranch once I make an account.

Thank you so much! I'm creating the account right now. I still don't see the paperwork for the doctors unfortunately. I think I am going to do all the blood work and stuff next week and if they give us forms I will just go back and have them fill it out what they need too.
Hello everyone,
I received an email from the staff stating I was on the standby list to get into the program. I am excited but stressed and confused. The program wants me to get everything done as if I am in the program while I wait to see if anyone declines their acceptance. Would anyone be able to email me or help me with what I need before starting the program? I am working on getting a physical and dental appointment but not sure what else I need. Please and thank you all in advance.

Hey!
We are also working on getting all that stuff done before our first day of class. As of right now I’m waiting to receive the paperwork that needs to be signed by the doctor and dentist. I know some people already setting up appointments with their doctors and dentists. I’d rather wait and see what they say exactly. What information have your received from Pierce?

Thank you so much, if you can just keep me updated if anything is sent to you, I would really appreciate that. I only received the letter saying there will be 3 orientation dates Jan 15, 22, and 29 th but I didn’t receive ANY info on the orientation time or location/zoom meeting, nothing yet. I emailed them requesting more info but I haven’t heard back

ladies I’m the oldest one here! LOL I’m 30 so I was freaking out too I needed to get in already & I didn’t want to wait anymore. pierce had better NCLEX pass rates and I got feedback from a student in the lacc program so I ended up going with pierce. I’ve heard good things about them as well. *fingers crossed* I have a previous bachelors in english (was going to go to law school) but life happened & I really figured out what I wanted to do so here I am . I’m definitely interested in doing BSN collaborative programs. I went to zoom info session for channel islands I am waiting to hear back from university of phoenix. it’s about a 1k more difference & all online which seems more desirable for me cus I hope to start working asap once I’m done at pierce & continue BSN ( its 2 summers|during ADN| + 8 months after ADN) & channel islands is really far from me. gonna try to gather more info on other cal states soon.
