L.A County College of Nursing Fall 2015 Applicants

Published

Hello Everyone.

I decided to create this post because I haven't seen any updated threads that relate to the Fall 2015 applicant pool. I'd love to hear from some of you out there who may have also applied so we can begin communicating with each other any updates, info, thoughts, and feelings as this is such a long and anxious process.

A bit of info about myself, I am currently attending elac, I am done with all my prereqs, this is the second time I am applying. I didn't make the cut last term (spring 2015) because I didn't have the points for speech and political science so I did them over winter, although I still don't think they will count because the grades weren't posted before the deadline!:grumpy: The only thing that i did extra with my time that I had proof for was Volunteering at the County Hospital in the ER, so I'm hoping that counts for something..

I have also applied to LACC, LASC, PCC, Rio Hondo, Citrus, Cerritos, but county is definitely my number 1 choice!

I look forward to hearing from you all soon

Cool! So if any of us get in we'd probably join your class since most of us are applying for the bridge :)

Ok Monday we have class until 10 Tuesday and weds until 1 and thurs until 12..... That is for first semester... The schedules are different for subsequent semesters... On the website you can see the schedules for spring 2015 and that should give u a time estimate

Thank you righteousjenn!

Yes they are... I can see where t could be doable... Nursing school isn't as hard as people make it out to be.. I only study a couple hrs a day and I'm doing fine it's the clinical worksheets that one must do every week that is a major time suck... My first one was 6 hours but my last one I just did was only 2

Hey guys! So I got my LVN through LA Job Corps in downtown. Awesome program and it was free since its a government program!

I too plan on working while in school! Can't afford not to! I've been working as an LVN for almost five years. I started in hospice and then ended up in specialty clinics (podiatry, derm, pain management).

I wonder what the cutoff is for the LVN this year!? I hope I made it :(
