Hello Everyone.
I decided to create this post because I haven't seen any updated threads that relate to the Fall 2015 applicant pool. I'd love to hear from some of you out there who may have also applied so we can begin communicating with each other any updates, info, thoughts, and feelings as this is such a long and anxious process.
A bit of info about myself, I am currently attending elac, I am done with all my prereqs, this is the second time I am applying. I didn't make the cut last term (spring 2015) because I didn't have the points for speech and political science so I did them over winter, although I still don't think they will count because the grades weren't posted before the deadline! The only thing that i did extra with my time that I had proof for was Volunteering at the County Hospital in the ER, so I'm hoping that counts for something..
I have also applied to LACC, LASC, PCC, Rio Hondo, Citrus, Cerritos, but county is definitely my number 1 choice!
I look forward to hearing from you all soon
Hey guys! Just an update! I called the school and was told they plan on notifying the LVNS "towards the end of the month."TORTURE.
No way!!! I was already telling people that I'll find out sometime in the next week. Haha oh well, guess the waiting in agony continues. Thanks for the update
Hi Everyone,
I am too applying for the 2015 fall class at County. I have also applied at LACC, but they have a lottery so I'm not sure how long it would take to get into their program. My first choice is County though as they have the best reputation. Honestly, I am pretty nervous and a little bit afraid from the whole program as I am an older student already, plus English is not my native language. Any of you have heard the cut score yet? I think I have 81 points (didn't have my speech and humanities, nor history yet- I just have focused on my prereq until this point.) I am currently taking speech and humanity at LACC while waiting. I did my TEAS at LACC a month ago, and have sent a transcript to the County from the ATI website, hopefully they have it. Any idea where we will hear back from them regarding to the general RN program?
I am happy to find this site/topic, so we have a chance to getting to know our future classmates even before the program will start.

Hi nbetty!! Don't be nervous about your age or language... I'm in my first semester at la county and I can tell up most of the people in my class are much older... If Spanish is your native language than your golden!!!!! 90% of patients at la county are Spanish speaking...
If anyone has any questions.... Please feel free to ask... I remember being in all of your positions in November and I can't believe I'm almost done with my first semester.

They don't know the cut off score this year but I was told that it averages 75-78 minimum the previous years.
