L.A County College of Nursing Fall 2015 Applicants

Published

Hello Everyone.

I decided to create this post because I haven't seen any updated threads that relate to the Fall 2015 applicant pool. I'd love to hear from some of you out there who may have also applied so we can begin communicating with each other any updates, info, thoughts, and feelings as this is such a long and anxious process.

A bit of info about myself, I am currently attending elac, I am done with all my prereqs, this is the second time I am applying. I didn't make the cut last term (spring 2015) because I didn't have the points for speech and political science so I did them over winter, although I still don't think they will count because the grades weren't posted before the deadline!:grumpy: The only thing that i did extra with my time that I had proof for was Volunteering at the County Hospital in the ER, so I'm hoping that counts for something..

I have also applied to LACC, LASC, PCC, Rio Hondo, Citrus, Cerritos, but county is definitely my number 1 choice!

I look forward to hearing from you all soon

Hi guys, I also applied for the LVN bridge. Just mailed in my questionnaire yesterday!

We are suppose to hear back about acceptance mid April for the LVN to RN Bridge. Please keep me updated if you hear something 😊

Thanks for joining in BSN1986 :)

I am sure you passed with flying colors.. I took it this past October and i remember the wait was killing me as well

Thank you Careviz! I hope so 😊 I don't have speech completed, I'm a bit concerned about the additional 3 points missing. I'm finishing that up this semester.

Hi Goal_NP,

Glad you're here. are you doing the Generic program? :)

Yes, I applied for LVN TO RN, let see how it goes.

However, I am currently set to start in august in Mount saint mary, but little or way Cheaper school be much better.

Did you guys turn in your questionnaires already? Did you type or write out?

Hey guys!

So I'm still anxiously awaiting the TEAS results!

Took the test last Friday and applied to the LVN-RN bridge.

Let me know if anyone here's anything. That math portion was no joke lol!

Also, did anyone hear what the average point cut off was for this semester?

Hey GGhoney!

I wrote it out and turned it in when i took the TEAS :)

I also wrote it out. Last Friday? Did you take it at county? Paper/Pencil? It'll take about a week to hear back. I guess they have to send the originals to Kansas then Kansas scores them within 24 business hours of receipt.

I was told average cut off in the past has been 75-78 for the bridge but it'll all depend on the applicant pool. If majority has 70 points, cut off will then be lowered.

Thanks for the info!! Yes I took it at county last Friday the 6th! I had a green jacket on? Up front during the test?

I'm nervous about not getting into the bridge because they said they're only letting in about 20 lvns and I think there were atleast 20 lvns in my testing group alone!

Oh wow. I took it on the first testing date and it was only me and another woman. Yes, I was told the same. It is nerve wrecking 😟
