Who else is taking the NLN this coming monday/tuesday at kingsborough? What are everyone's thoughts of science 25?? Any concerns, comments, questions please feel free to discuss them here. Future applicants feel free to ask any questions, too!

Cant wait until clinicals! Currently have a 3.97 prereq GPA, completed all prereqs except for bio 51. All A's, aside from sci 25 with an A-

Are we only supposed to wear white scrubs as students?

Yes, go to ideal uniforms on Flatbush and ave k I believe. Just google it to be sure, they are super helpful and know exactly what KBCC requires. You will also need to purchase patches for the uniform in the bookstore that need to be sewn into the left sleeve. I almost forgot,

you will also need white nursing shoes which are also sold in the store.

Nope .. has to be a nursing shoe no sneakers are allowed.

What about scrubs? Kingsborough has a uniform of its own? Or can we get any of our choice?

If you go to ideal uniform they will show you the selection they have for the school. There are a few different styles, but the ppl who work at ideal know the rules and regs for kbcc's uniform dress code.

Hi, just joined the thread:)

I just received my acceptance letter last week and I'm tackling the list of things that need to be taken care of before the deadline. Phew!

I have a few questions for the folks here that look like they are a semester in so far.

Any word on NLN accreditation?

Did you purchase all the books on the list they gave you? Which ones are necessary, which are helpful?

Also, I have been hearing some really not good things about the program, "it's too hard, they don't teach, and that half the students failed the fundamental class" is this true?

I'm kinda nervous;(

ok I am sorry to ask a question like this butI signed up for the very first blackboard session August 21st but I dont remember what time it was I thinkit was 8 am or 9 am and I didnt record the room. did anyone else sign up for this class? I had my daughter with me and she was acting up so I quickly signed up and left.
