Who else is taking the NLN this coming monday/tuesday at kingsborough? What are everyone's thoughts of science 25?? Any concerns, comments, questions please feel free to discuss them here. Future applicants feel free to ask any questions, too!
Cant wait until clinicals! Currently have a 3.97 prereq GPA, completed all prereqs except for bio 51. All A's, aside from sci 25 with an A-
Yeah the last option would suck.
My friend was saying that the nursing department looks at the NLN scores first, and sends out acceptances automatically to those around 120+ scores (or the top scores). For those below that score, the department needs time to still evaluate and decide based on GPA and NLN scores.
Just an observation but in summary: All of my friends who got around 120 and over, got their letter. My friends that got below that, did not get a letter (yet hopefully).
Below seems to be a free BLS certification class offered by NY methodist to those that are interested. :) (haven't done myself but just came across it)

I was so nervous when I started I refused to listen to anyone and bought all the books! the only book I ended up using was the textbook. I mean the other books are good resources but I never read them. I bought the nur17 math book and used it for practice problems here and there, I mainly practiced on dosagehelp.com and went over what we did in class. I do buy supplemental books with practice questions to me those are the most useful. If you can definitely get fundamentals success and fundamentals review and rationales. It's all up to you and how you like to study!
Bought some nclex books for super cheap. As well as bought the fundamentals books you mentioned. You can get old editions for literally a penny + shipping on most of these books! Are there restrictions on sstethoscopes for kingsborough? Thinking of getting littman stethoscope cardio III. Do they allow that?

I think they did things different this semester you received acceptance letters a lot early than my group did do maybe they degree audit change hasn't taken effect yet. I would keep watching bio51 class in the winter to open up if not try to see if you can get an e-permit to take it at another school during winter semester. Last resort is to take it with nursing21 or put off Nur21 take bio51 and take nur21 the following semester (last option sucks).
