Kennesaw State University ABSN Fall 2014

Published

Hey everyone,

I haven't seen a thread for those of us applying to KSU'S ABSN (or even traditional) program and thought I would start one. I am taking the TEAS pretty late (early January) and will have most of my pre-reqs done by December, but I'm pretty nervous. I have around a 3.5 from my bachelors degree at UGA and will probably end up with around the same in pre-reqs. It seems pretty competitive so not sure of my chances! Hope I can blow the TEAS out of the water. :)

If I did my researching correctly on here, applicants were hearing pretty late last year, like late April and May. I hope they can end the suspense a little earlier this year!

Anyone else applying?

Specializes in PICU and PACU.

Oh thats crazy!! You know i saw on another thread once that a girl had those stats and didn't understand why she didn't get an interview so she called and they looked at her transcript and told her it was a mistake and they should have accepted her and they sent her an interview letter!!

I'm not sure what they'll use. Good luck you guys! I remember how stressful the application process was for me. Can't wait to meet some of you guys in the fall!

Hey yall,

I just took my TEAS test..I made a 85.3 and have a cumulative GPA of 3.97. Do ya'll think this is enough to get in or should I re-take the teas test

I think you'll be just fine. Even though you're TEAS is average in comparison to other applicants, you GPA is stellar!

Jchristina, you should be fine! I am so interred to see who all gets accepted.

Hey yall! I am new to this thread, but I am applying for the fall 2014 traditional program. I am not too confident with my chances of getting in. I have a 3.41 overall gpa and a 3.7 in my math and sciences. I also got a 87 on the teas. I just submitted my application, and the anxiety of the wait process is already killing me!

Hello all! I have also applied for the traditional BSN starting this fall 2014. My stats are Overal GPA 3.76, Science/Math GPA 3.85 and a TEAS score of 86. Not feeling very confident with my mediocre GPA and TEAS but my fingers are crossed! I also applied to Georgia Regents Athens and University of North GA. Cheers and good luck to us all!

I wish we knew a set day that the decisions would be made/letters would be sent! The most excruciating part is having absolutely no idea when we will know. Could be a month from now...2 months from now...who knows. Eeek

It's a totally different application process this time so who knows! One of you guys should email F. I'm sure she would give you all a timeframe.

Joanna- do you plan on sending them an email sometime soon? I assume they will just contact us since we are automatically in for Fall but I didn't ask F when we last spoke.

When S emailed me, she said it would be late-March to mid-April.

Elliot - I have been wondering the same thing. The last thing she said to me was that I was on the deferment list so I assumed I didn't need to do anything. It makes me a little bit nervous though! Do you have an idea of what the schedule is like? I know I need to factor in a lot of study time but it looked like classes were only 2 or 3 days a week. I had assumed I would be there more but maybe it's more study time and then clinicals later in the semester?

If you decide to do it online it wont be competitive and you wont have to wait a whole year again to apply. You could get it done online before its time to apply again.
