  1. Hi everyone! I'm so excited to meet y'all on Monday! I don't know is everyone has taken their cpr class but I took one on Tuesday and it was great! It was on Moreland ave and was supposed to be 9-1 but finished around 12. The instructor used a video and we practiced a lot on mannequins. If anyone is interested I signed up at gacpr.com and Elliot is haven't even began looking into textbooks but don't we need to keep our books for later vs. renting them?
  2. I haven't taken mine yet but I found the class I am going to take online. You can look up Ga CPR and it's the BLS for healthcare provider class. They offer them Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays every week.
  3. Were u accepted for the traditional or accelerated program? Will you finish faster at one program vs the other? Also there are usually people from all different areas and you could peobably end up carpooling part of the way or staying in this area for a few days a week but still live at home. It's awesome you got acceptedv to both programs but so hard to choose! The good thing if you choose Kennesaw is that you still won't be too far from home. I had the choice to go to nursing school when I was 21 and ended up dropping out because of my family and boyfriend situation and I regret it because I am now 28 and finally going! You're family will always be there and you need to do what is right for you long term. But either school is great and I'm sure will get you a great job afterwards
  4. Yes that is right. Patho requires a lot of study time so it can be helpful to take it before the nursing classes. I took it along with 3 online classes last semester but it took up the majority of my time.
  5. Congratulations hfennell!!!!
  6. Owl express doesn't change until closer to the fall. But the email I got was for the accelerated program so she may not have sent emails doe the traditional. She was wanting si know if we wanted to take the research class on campus or online and the traditional doesn't take that class until later. Were u applying for traditional or accelerated?
  7. Hey! So I posted before and was deferred to the fall but I asked f today if I could get a verification letter filled out and she said I would receive a letter by Monday! So I'm assuming that means they are all being sent out! And Elliot I guess we do the same as last semester and can turn in the acceptance contract! Good luck everyone!!!
  8. Last time the email was sent to everyone applying go the accelerated program. I don't know if it's still the same but I received that email last for last fall but then wasn't accepted.
  9. Will definitely let you know if I hear anything and thanks for the info Elliot! So excited and can't wait for august!!
  10. Elliot - I have been wondering the same thing. The last thing she said to me was that I was on the deferment list so I assumed I didn't need to do anything. It makes me a little bit nervous though! Do you have an idea of what the schedule is like? I know I need to factor in a lot of study time but it looked like classes were only 2 or 3 days a week. I had assumed I would be there more but maybe it's more study time and then clinicals later in the semester?
  11. I agree with you Elliot - I don't understand how they can take away the interview process and still accept people into the program that will be able to complete it. I don't think I would have gotten in solely on my stats. I have a 3.5 overall GPA and scored an 87 on the TEAS. I think that's great Emma that you're taking Patho! I took it last semester at Clayton and learned a lot!
  12. Hi Everyone! I was also accepted into the spring nursing program but didn't complete my chemistry so I was also deferred to the fall. I was very disappointed but I realize now it worked out for the better! Good luck to everyone and I know it's late but if anyone needs a TEAS study book you can have mine.
  13. Elliot08 I am doing the same thing! It's very disappointing but I made a stupid mistake and need one more class which I will take in the spring. But f said I can be deferred to the fall. Its probably for the better for a lot of reasons but I wish I was starting with all of you! But I will see you in the fall Elliot!!
  14. I just turned in my contract and talked to F and she said we would be receiving information in the next few days about what to do and that orientation will be December 16! Yayyyy!!! So excited :)
  15. Thank you! My interview is Monday afternoon.
