  1. Anyone having any luck searching for book rentals online that are fairly priced?
  2. Hey guys! My brother-in-law is a CPR instructor. He is willing to teach a group of us and get us certified. Any body wanna join? Anyone know of a good place we could get together as a group?
  3. There's no way Im taking Patho in the summer. That seems crazy. I'll be taking it in the fall. Congrats to all that got in! I look forward to meeting everyone.
  4. Hi!! Thanks for the info. Can't wait for Fall! How's your first semester going?
  5. From what I'm told, the first semester is 3 days a week but a lot of studying bc of patho. The clinicals start at the second half of the semester on Fridays. I figured I would just email F this summer just to see what I need to do if anything. I saved all our emails about deferment just to be safe. She said I'd be notified when time to register but I just want to be safe. Let me know if you hear anything from her and I'll do the same!
  6. It's a totally different application process this time so who knows! One of you guys should email F. I'm sure she would give you all a timeframe. Joanna- do you plan on sending them an email sometime soon? I assume they will just contact us since we are automatically in for Fall but I didn't ask F when we last spoke.
  7. I think you'll be just fine. Even though you're TEAS is average in comparison to other applicants, you GPA is stellar!
  8. I'm not sure what they'll use. Good luck you guys! I remember how stressful the application process was for me. Can't wait to meet some of you guys in the fall!
  9. Oh, I know people who haven't gotten in with less than stellar stats as well, but they rocked the interview. Then I have a friend with a 3.8 and 87 on her TEAS that never even got an interview. That is my point. Up until know, people were given the chance to show who they are in person at the interview. I'm confused on what they are going to base the application process on now.
  10. Has everyone talked to F about your scores? I went to her before applying just to be sure that I didn't need to take classes over and she gave me feedback on my chances. Since the average TEAS score is an 86ish, I would think about retaking it if you didn't get in the high 80s. The negative to taking away the interview process is they know NOTHING about you except your stats. With as many people that apply (from what I hear, 1000 per semester) if your scores aren't VERY competitive, it's going to be tough to stand a chance without extremely high scores. By no means am I trying to be discouraging, I'm just giving my honest opinion. Talk to you advisors! If you made low 80s on the TEAS, retake it! Chances are you'll do better. Im really interested to see the types of people that are accepted in the fall. Taking away the interview has to narrow the field to only top students (grade wise). I've met many people along the way that have phenomenal grades, but don't seem to be nurse material. I don't understand why they are taking away the opportunity to see the character of the applicants instead of just how they appear on paper.
  11. Good luck to everyone! When are you all suppose to have your applications turned in?
  12. Thanks. I studied intently for about a month. :) you would have no problem getting into Mercer. They accept about 25% of the people that apply. You have great grades and an 81 is not bad at all. You may as well apply to both and see what happens! Are they making you guys write an essay or anything since there's no interview?
  13. That was the benefit to an interview. I know the average is an 86 but I've heard of people getting admitted with lower scores. How's you GPA ( if you don't mind me asking)?
