I just applied for Kennesaw State University's traditional BSN program today. I'm writing to see if anyone else has recently applied (or plans on applying soon). It would be awesome to hear from people in the same boat....those who have applied and are anxiously awaiting KSU's response or those that have been through this already. It would be nice to know that I'm not alone! :)
To get an idea of how competitive things are, it would be great if we could share with each other the following:
GPA, Pre-Req GPA (7 out of the 12 corse classes, 5 of which need to be math or science) & TEAS Score.
I don't know my overall GPA...something around a 3.4.
My pre-req GPA is 3.57 (4 B's, 3 A's).
I scored a 86 on my TEAS.
I would love to hear from people that have recently been accepted (or know someone that has). If you don't mind sharing, please let me know what you received for your GPA, pre-req GPA & Teas score.
I would also like to know if anyone has an idea of the time-line for KSU sending out the interview invite letters.
Nothing on my end either...still waiting for the letter and checking my e-mail every few hours (as if they are going to come in on Sunday to send us the letters- lol).
UGABelle...I took Stats, A&PI and College Alg at Chattahoochee Tech. I'm taking Microbiology at GA Perimeter now because I really disliked the quality of the classes at CTC. I took Stats & College Alg at the Marietta campus and A&P I at the Woodstock campus. Turns out I didn't have to take A&P II over because Kennesaw took mine from 7 years ago (wish I knew that before I retook A&P I- oh well...now that material is fresh on my mind).
I don't have a back up plan either...I've only applied to KSU. My plan is to apply three times (that is if I don't get in on try one or try two) and then make a new plan. I have to think that I'll make it in within the three tries but I guess you never know!

I am jumping every time I get an email on my phone like it's coming today! I am sooooo anxious and nervous.....I took 7 pr-reqs at Chatt tech since it was free thru the Hope grant. Sandi at KSU actually told me to go there since I already had a degree and the grant pays for technical school. I had greats stat, chem and micro professors. My A&P teacher was awful and the psych class was a joke....but overall not a bad experience... I feel like I am in a holding pattern until I hear anything..
I really hope an email goes out! I hate this waiting!!!!
I know emails have gone out in the past to those accepted to inform them to look for the letter and contract in the mail. I am not sure this will happen this time around.
Thats great you all made it in! What types of teas and gpa does it take to get accepted at KSU? It seems like the hardest school to get into since Ive started comparing.

I hope you all get in! I have applied for the Fall semester. The faster you all get answers, the faster I will know if I get an interview or not!
