mzdawgs4, Congratulations on the wedding! That is exciting! and congratulations on your entrance to the nursing program. I'll try to answer some of your questions... The hours have been posted on OwlExpress, but registration times haven't been posted yet. It looks like we will have classes MW 8:00-2:45, TTH 8:00-2:00 and clinicals will be on Fridays (not sure what time). The Center for Health & Wellness do CPR classes. Here is a PDF of spring dates http://www.kennesaw.edu/col_hhs/wellness/events/events_files/2011%20Spring%20Events.pdf But double check to make sure this is the CPR class you will need for the nursing program. I work at the hospital and already have my certification. Also, Since you live so far away, you could check to see if the Red Cross offers the class somewhere closer to you. I heard from someone that we should get the 'Calculate with Confidence' book and brush up on our math skills. I hope this helps, let me know if you need anything else. Nice to meet you Heather!! You are not old....silly! If you're old, I'm ancient lol! Do you (or anyone else) have children? I have three children. I have 2 teenaged daughters and a son, who is 7 years old. They didnt mention a specific book, if you find out, let me know. I have a friend that started this semester too. She says she is drowning in all the work. I'm supposed to meet with her after spring break. She said she had a lot of tips she could me. She's already sent me some patho notes. I'll be happy to share once I get all the info.

Well, I'm 39...how old are you belle? I've been trying to read other posts and get an idea about what we need before this summer. I work at Egleston and one of the nurses I work with said we should get a dosage calculation book and brush up on conversions and basic math. I think there is a general math test to start out with. Sorry, but I won't see you all for CPR, since I work at the hospital, I already have my CPR as well as the immunizations... Is anyone at KSU this semester? My classes are Mon/Wed...I'd love to meet for lunch or something to get to know one another

I emailed Fran yesterday. She said they were working on the letters but Sandi, her secretary was out sick so they probably wouldn't go out until Monday.

i am totally freaking out! it's happening really fast. i thought we wouldn't hear anything until the end of the month. i had 2 letters that i forgot to bring to the interview. a friend, who started the nursing program this month, told me to drop them by fran's office. that's what i was doing today but she said that they really don't weigh in at all. she said all recommendation letters are the same and that you really don't get a bad letter. but i gave them to her anyway. i have taken both the teas iv and v but submitted version iv to kennesaw. i'm just nervous, i thought i did well on the interview but i've also read other posts that said the same and they didn't get in. this is going to be the longest week of my life....ugh! good lck to everyone! :redpinkhe

Thought you guys might want to know...I stopped by Fran's office this morning to drop something off and I asked her when they would be making a decision and she said the meeting to make final decisions is THIS WEDNESDAY!! Now, I don't know how long it'll take before we hear something. She said they would notify us by mail, NOT EMAIL?!?! Post if you get anything in the mail!

I sent Fran an email last week and she said they should have all the letters out by Monday or Tuesday but today is Thursday and I haven't received anything...has anyone gotten their letter yet?

Has anyone heard when we should be getting interview letters? I heard end of July, but it's the end of July now....UGH!
