  1. That's crazy (UGAbelle). She just told me about a friend of her's who interviewed recently when we had lunch together the other day. I guess that would be you! How did you figure out it was me?? Anyway, that's too funny...it really is a small world!! I agree...we will have to meet up some time. Summer will be here before you know it too and then we will be meeting up every day (well, just about!). Does anyone know the exact weekly schedule? I applied for the traditional program because I thought it would at least give me a chance to get a few hours of work (to be determined exactly where, since I'll be quitting my full time job in May) each week. Is class 5 days a week for the summer? How about the other semesters?
  2. Hey everyone! I'm in too! Congrats guys...can't wait to meet you all this summer. :)
  3. Hey everyone... Nothing on my end either...still waiting for the letter and checking my e-mail every few hours (as if they are going to come in on Sunday to send us the letters- lol). UGABelle...I took Stats, A&PI and College Alg at Chattahoochee Tech. I'm taking Microbiology at GA Perimeter now because I really disliked the quality of the classes at CTC. I took Stats & College Alg at the Marietta campus and A&P I at the Woodstock campus. Turns out I didn't have to take A&P II over because Kennesaw took mine from 7 years ago (wish I knew that before I retook A&P I- oh well...now that material is fresh on my mind). I don't have a back up plan either...I've only applied to KSU. My plan is to apply three times (that is if I don't get in on try one or try two) and then make a new plan. I have to think that I'll make it in within the three tries but I guess you never know! Lets all keep each other posted when we get our e-mails/letters!
  4. Hey everyone! That's great information about the timeline. I was nervous for the first few days after the interview (over analyzing my answers) but I've pushed it out of my head for the last few days thinking I had weeks to wait. But now all I can think is...OMG, my future is going to be determined (well...at least the timeline of my future) in the next few days!! BMD513, your scores sound great. You will definitely get an interview. My scores were a 3.6 for the 7 pre-req classes, a 3.4 or 3.5 overall, and I got a 92.4 on the TEAS (I misposted my score on an earlier post...don't ask...too much on my mind lol). There is no doubt that your scores are competitive enough for the interview and very competitive for entrance in to the program as well. So relax... (do as I say not as I do )
  5. Hey guys...I had mine on Friday as well. It was nice meeting you too ImpatientlyStudying! Does anyone know the number of interviews they had relative to the slots they had open? Just curious on our chances here. Wouldn't it be great if we all got in! :)
  6. Hey! I got my interview invite as well. Very exciting!
  7. Great info guys! Thanks for joining the post. I will keep everyone in the loop when (I'm thinking positive thoughts...) I get an interview invite. Please do the same when you get yours! There are no ifs here! :)
  8. i was just coming on here to report the same to you...late nov., early dec. per an e-mail that i received from sandi. good luck and keep me posted when you get a response! i'll do the same. just out of curiosity, have you taken any/all of your pre-req's at kennesaw? that's one of my concerns as i haven't taken any classes there. i took most of them at boston university where i received my bachelor's of science and then took a few remaining requirements at chattahoochee tech because they offer evening classes.
  9. Okay...I guess I'm convinced that I need to do the mock interview! I recruit for a living so I prepare people for interviews all the time...but...I've been in my job for five years now so I haven't interviewed since I started there. Not to mention, I want this so much more so it's just that much more nerve racking. Thank you for your in-put! Congrats on getting in to the program for Spring. Good luck with classes and clinicals.
  10. Thanks for the insight on the interview questions. I heard about the mock interview as well. To be honest, the thought of a taped mock interview sounds even more intimidating that the real thing. Although, I'm sure it is helpful! Did you find out where your scores ranked (teas and competitive gpa) for the Spring 2011 entrance? I'm sure you did well on those since you said you didn't do as well as you would have liked on the interview. I'm sure that the wait list is still difficult to get on... Keep me posted if you get any more information regarding an interview letter &/or if you find out if you get in for Spring 2011! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. :)
  11. Hey! Thanks for the info. I was hoping that I would hear from them regarding the interview some time soon. I also applied for Summer 2011. Good luck with your entrance into the Spring program. What were your thoughts on the interview on your first go around? How long did the whole thing last? Thanks again for getting back to me.
  12. thanks for the reply. i think i'm going to post a new thread to see if i get more of a response. i know that there has to be more people out there waiting with us! :)
  13. Thank you so much for the information on the interview. You guys are great on here! I'm so glad that I found this posting and joined in. I will absolutely use this information to help me prepare, that is if I get an invitation letter soon. Let's keep our fingers crossed! :)
  14. thanks keno! your feedback is greatly appreciated. i'm working with 4 a's and 3 b's on my 7 classes for my competitive score, a total gpa of around a 3.5, and a 92.4 on my teas. so, i'm hopeful that my grades will at least warrant an interview. i took most of my pre-reqs at boston university where an a is a 96 or above, so that's where the b's came in to play. i'm just keeping my fingers crossed that a letter comes through the mail one of these weeks! i'm incredibly nervous about the interview. i have only interviewed a handful of times in my life and never has an interview been more important to me. i want this way more than i wanted my job that i have now and interviewed for 5 years ago. i know that sounds crazy, but it's the truth! i will definitely compile some specific stories that speak to how i found myself wanting to pursue this career. any other insight or questions that you think you could share with me would be appreciated. congrats on making it in to the program. i don't think that anyone understands how of an amazing accomplishment that is as much as all of us nursing student hopefuls (especially those of us with our sights on ksu). thanks again!
  15. Thank you so much for the insight! I will definitly prepare myself with stories that honestly reflect why I'm pursuing a career in nursing! Congrats again and maybe we will see eachother at KSU when we are both there next year.
