  1. Yay! Congrats ktm! See you in January!
  2. I didn't shadow a nurse exactly but I'm a tech in a very busy ER so I did have those stories to pull from. The most important thing is that you have examples to share. They ask specific questions so they don't want vague answers. Think of good examples of a time you had to make a decision, a time when you had to show compassion to a difficult person, a time you had to be detail-oriented, etc. They focus on the essential skills that every nurse should have. The good thing is that they make you feel extremely comfortable. I had 2 people interviewing me and they were super sweet and were interactive instead of just sitting there and taking notes on what I said. And think of questions to ask them. At the very end they'll ask you if you have any questions and it's definitely helpful to say something so they get an idea of your interest level. It doesn't have to be a monumental question, just something to start conversation. And most of all, RELAX! Your stats sound great! I know very few people with a TEAS score that high and many people with a score lower than yours that got in. You're obviously competent and passionate about getting into the program so that will reflect in your interview. I know exactly how you feel but nothing feels better than getting the interview out of the way and having it completely out of your hands. I hope you get your letter soon!!! :) :)
  3. K thanks. I'm going to drop mine off tomorrow. I'm getting excited!!
  4. Did you make an appointment with Fran to drop off your contract or did you just stop by her office? I want to hand mine into her sometime this week as well.
  5. I love your optimism, Pijju! Just keep trying and you will definitely be a nurse soon! I'm glad Fran gave you an encouraging email and now you have things to focus on. I certainly wish you the best! For those who have been accepted, have you received anything in the mail yet?
  6. I'm sorry ktm Definitely talk to Fran and don't give up hope yet!
  7. Congrats! I'm in too!!!!!
  8. I'm definitely with you guys. This wait is much worse than waiting to find out if we got interviews, that's for sure.
  9. One of my friends asked in her interview and they said we should know in 2-3 weeks. I'm hoping it doesn't take until the end of October! But this wait is awful. Hopefully the time will fly by :)
  10. I hope everyone's interviews go well this week!! :)
  11. I got my interview letter today too! Good luck everybody!
  12. Yeah I figure it should be within the next few weeks. Waiting is just annoying :) Good luck everybody!
  13. I live 12 miles from KSU and no letter and I've been trying the owl express thing. Still getting a stop sign.
  14. No I haven't received a letter yet unfortunately.
  15. I'm glad we can all wait this out together! I have almost the exact same grades and TEAS score as you, ktm90. Is this your first time applying? Man, I hope it doesn't take until August! I know the time will fly by but I still hate waiting :) And I'm not too sure about situational questions either. Someone in one of my classes had gotten accepted into the program starting this summer and shared some of his questions with me. They definitely take some thought. And those dancers weren't too annoying
