kaplan RN review Qbank low scores

Published

Hi there.. I failed the first time I took NCLEX 265Q self study using saunders book just this year so I took KAPLAN review online. I am committing for the schedule they provided to follow after the end of the class. I am now starting doing their Q banks my scores are low I did 17% of the questions and only did 53% correct answers!!! Any advice and words of encouragement?? I'm planning to take my exam next month last week of Dec. :crying2:

I have a question guys. A stupid one. Is Kaplan on demand and kaplan online same thing? Because I saw post for kaplan online and kaplan on demand. I am confused. Plz help :(

kaplan on demand is located at kaplan NCLEX REVIEW online. kaplan has alot of variety of review to choose from.. you can do kaplan on demand, kaplan classroom anywhere(online class), kaplan classroom etc..

hi everyone.. is a 54.44 % score on readiness test too bad..? please advice if i should reschedule.. again.. :sniff:

look where your weaknesses are and study those content areas.. read why you got those questions wrong.. they want you to have 60-65 on the readiness exam

Someone please help!!! I have been taking Kaplan and this will be my third time taking nclex. My question trainer scores as qt1 61 qt2 65 qt3 58 qt4 55 and qt5 48 my diagnostic is 62 and readiness is 72. My scores are all over the place. I just completed qt 5 and am besides myself on what to do. Please help with what I should do or if I should reschedule intestine in 20 days.

How did you do? Was it simular to Kaplan?

First of all i would like to thank everyone for the encouraging words. made me feel better after today's 56 on a qbank test. I just graduated in may and i plan to take my test sometime in July. I took the Kaplan Class review and i thought i was great but what i'm having problems with is the Decision tree. Most of the questions i have to skip to step 5 and then it becomes the guessing game. does anyone feel the same way? I also developed a little study routine for myself each day. Since my test is about one month out i do about 60 qbank questions, followed by a period of brief frustration, then i review my test questions and write down the rational. after i do this i take a small break and watch content videos. i watch about an hour of video a day since there is about 20 hours of content. i also struggle with pharm so since there is 90 categories or so of drugs i split them up and study 3 categories of drugs a day. before i go to be i review the test rational and review the drugs one more time. does anyone else have any suggestion on what i can or cannot do? i get a little discouraged when i take a test and my scores fall in the 50's. i haven't finished all the qbank questions yet but i'm averaging a 59% on my q bank test with about 900 questions left. my diagnostic test was 65, readiness 61, q trainer 1: 65, q trainer 2: 68, qtrainer 3: 59 q trainer 4: 57, q trainer 5: 56, and q trainer 6: 63. I'm saving trainer 7 for a few days before the nclex to get a dry run of the test. if anyone can give me advice i would greatly appreciate the input. thanks and have a great day

My QBank average 57.

Question Trainer: 1.64 2.63 3.47 4. 55 5. 54 6.57 7.58.

Passed my NCLEX PN with 85 questions. It all comes down to being able to answer Application and Analysis questions consistantly about 50% mark.

Taking the kaplan diagnostic and readiness 2010 in August..does any one have any pointers or study guide..I have to make a 65% or i fail the course...any help would be great..

Got a 64% on question trainer 1 and a 59% on question trainer 2...

any help would be great..

this si for the RN kaplan

Hi all,

I wanted to share my story. I know I freaked out before I took the NCLEX, so I thought I'd give back some relief.

I did ATI during my degree, thought that was useless.

Once I graduated I watched the Hurst Videos, and then I did Kaplan and the Qbank Questions.

My average on the Qbank was 50% and I did 80% of the qbank questions. I was terrified. My scores started out in the low 40s and by the time I was at test #20 and ready to take the NCLEX, I was in the 60s. So Qbank really did help. I fully suggest the Qbank with rationale.

I took my test on a Monday 9/10/12, My first 8 questions were "select all that apply questions." I almost started to cry, those are so hard! Then 75 passed and I needed to regroup and carry on. I ended up with all 265 questions! I thought I was going to die! It was so hard. I had every type of question! I left feeling like I knew I failed. Then I came on here to find some caring words.

The next morning I did the "PV trick" and I got the good pop up! I was very skeptical. Then the following day (today) I had a license number online! :) So that was great! I never expected to pass after all 265. But some how I did.

BUT I passed!

I wish you all the best and good luck! You can do it!
