kaplan RN review Qbank low scores

Hi there.. I failed the first time I took NCLEX 265Q self study using saunders book just this year so I took KAPLAN review online. I am committing for the schedule they provided to follow after the end of the class. I am now starting doing their Q banks my scores are low I did 17% of the questions and only did 53% correct answers!!! Any advice and words of encouragement?? I'm planning to take my exam next month last week of Dec. :crying2:

update: 99% done with 62% average correct answers. I didn't improve at all!!! :banghead:

thanks miley22! girl ur scores are good.. means ur consistent with the passing scores! atleast its not getting bad.. i believe in ur scores that u can beat the NCLEX!! :yeah:

the last score i got from 50q's was 64% i think thats y i got 57%.. so the next set of exam my score should be more than 64% to make my percentage go up.. my questions are getting harder!!

Hi all,

Have you all completed the sample exams (3 of them) on Kaplan on demand. I just did extremely bad on the 2nd one! I dont know to do!

yes i finished those sample exam.. i took them first bec i dont have idea when i first open my qbank.. my first set of sample i got 48% the 2nd was 58% the 3rd 57%.. aim for 60%!!!

I have scored better on my QTrainers than on the sample exams.

Diagnostic: 63

2:40 :( but when I review rationales I realize my gut answer on a few of them were right but i changed my answer...

Friends, I scheduled my exam for the 29th, but at this rate, I think I am DEF not ready...

Any advice? I like watching the LOD review of questions but it takes 3 hrs for every lesson!

@nurse1123 If u feel like u dont prepare enough you can reschedule ur exam. about ur scores they will improve as u go on your qbank. LOD is great. i learned alot and barbara give some tips on NCLEX style of questions on how to analyze them and give helpful info.. and besides you payed for that so make it worth,,. but maybe you running out of time ur exam is coming so soon.

Hi everyone! i wanna join in! as i was reading your posts, i found it encouraging and motivating to post any updates as i go along my kaplan review course too!

This is my first night to read their book. I hope anyone new to Kaplan could get along with me as well!!! Good luck to all of you! :)

Any updates for those who have taken their tests this dec?

I took my exam yesterday morning, and it shut off at 75! Im getting the good pop up :)

Are people still writing on this thread? Anyways I'm a bit nervouse because i've been doing horrible on the kaplan qbanks. I've already done 41% of it with a score of 53%.... I took my readiness test and got 66%. Still haven't done qtrainer 6&7. Anyone else got a low score on the the qbank but passed the nclex?

Ok folks here is my study plan!

Hurst Review everyday, I am gonna take two sections a day and really know my core content. Then I am going to do 50 to 75 Kaplan Q bank questions a day until I test. Help am I studying enough? Help me please!!!!!

I have a question guys. A stupid one. Is Kaplan on demand and kaplan online same thing? Because I saw post for kaplan online and kaplan on demand. I am confused. Plz help :(
