kaplan RN review Qbank low scores

Published

Hi there.. I failed the first time I took NCLEX 265Q self study using saunders book just this year so I took KAPLAN review online. I am committing for the schedule they provided to follow after the end of the class. I am now starting doing their Q banks my scores are low I did 17% of the questions and only did 53% correct answers!!! Any advice and words of encouragement?? I'm planning to take my exam next month last week of Dec. :crying2:

i can only speak for the kaplan PN qbank questions i took 4 years ago. i did lots of them and was only passing with 60% scores and passed my LPN boards first try. I did get the max number but i passed. 4 yrs later i'm trying to study for rn boards and just posted that it has been almost 4 yrs since i finished the rn program.....yikes!

they said 60% is the passing score at Qbanks,.

hey i took all the way to 265 questions today and found out i got the bad pop up from pearson....

my score avg from kaplan q bank was 47% (had 3 0% cuz i wanted to change some things), ive never scored lower than a 44, most of my scores are in the 50s and few 60s)

if youre getting 17% on your q bank, i would really suggest take a few more weeks and study real hard... i know that i am very close to passing the NCLEX RN!

GOOD LUCK!

Sorry to hear that.... is it your first time to take the exam?

I did the Kaplan qbank PN...I was averaging 50% on all my tests. I passed the nclex PN the first time with 85 questions!!! I was really scared and skeptical on taking it but it worked out. That's pretty much all I did to study. Good luck :))

I used Kaplan on Demand for my NCLEX RN review. Took it today and got the good pop up. Most of my scores in Qbank are on the 50's, only few 60's. If you can get a higher score, the better. Hope this helps. :smokin:

i love the kaplan review!! i took my nclex last year and in my opinion the questions were very similar to the ones kaplan offers.... keep practicing, i did all of them :), i saw every single video that they offer and at the begging i got very low scores, like 40 or 50, at the end i think i got like 60 and i passed my nclex test :)... good luck!!

Nicolai: since you did kaplan on demand recently..and u were successful...Congrats!

Do u have any advice? Did the course book help you? Did u watch all the videos? And question lessons? I am weak in pharm :(

I got a 62.78 on my diagnostic haven't taken any other ones yet...
