I just got finished from taking the NCLEX and I'm pretty confident that I FAILED MISERABLY!!!! I feel so ashamed that I did all this studying for nothing. I took that Kaplan class and those strategies were worth squat to me. I been studying for months and nothing I studied was on the test. Instead, I got like 10 calculation questions which I was practically guessing on. I kept thinking "why am i getting punished???" And I kept getting questions which I thought were the "easy ones" which I couldn't even answer with a 100% certainty. So basically after 75 , the computer was like "Yeah you failed big time, I won't even give you a chance to redeem yourself by giving you more questions." I'm a failure. Sigh...the wait is going to kill me. But what's the point...I probably failed anyway..blah...I suck.

stop being so hard on yourself. i failed my first time but passed my second and i felt the same way after both tests-like a failure. you took 75 so you probably passed. even if you didnt you can take it again-the hard part is over with-school. i have a friend who took the nclex 7 times and is now the best of nurses. you probably passed so dont be so hard on yourself. good luck. i know the wait is hard:)

Hello, I felt as if I failed at 75 questions too. At once I started thinking what kind of review course I should sign up for. I felt that I could not answer even one right. Everything was NOT textbook, the answers were all grey. I really didn't feel 100% sure on any one answer.
Lo and behold, I passed with all the angst you are feeling. I bet you passed but don't give up. It's not how many times you get knocked down but how many times you get back up. keep us posted. At least you have this thread to vent and encourage you. I suffered alone.

You don't know if you failed--btw, save yourself a little money and check your state's BON/BNE site and try to verify your own license (usually you can input your social security number and it will tell you). I figured this out after I paid Pearson the $8 for the unofficial word 48 hrs after the test.....
While you are waiting, practice your calculations. There is really no reason to have to "practically guess" at those, it's just math and you can use a calculator. You will need to be able to do this when you take care of your patients, once you are an RN. Think positive!
For the moment, put your feet up, sip a little cold tea and take a break. Sounds like you have been working really, really hard and you were really, really stressed.
Let us know.

I just passed my boards last month and I felt exactly the same way. And every other nurse I have talked to has felt the same way. It's part of the game. I got 75 questions and most the the people in our class got between 75 and 100. It's gonna be allright.
