Just took the NCLEX and it shut off at 75!!
stop being so hard on yourself. i failed my first time but passed my second and i felt the same way after both tests-like a failure. you took 75 so you probably passed. even if you didnt you can take it again-the hard part is over with-school. i have a friend who took the nclex 7 times and is now the best of nurses. you probably passed so dont be so hard on yourself. good luck. i know the wait is hard:)

To Everyone Who Has Failed Boards
dont quit when things go wrong, as they sometimes will, when the road your trudgin seems all uphill, when the funds are low and the debts are high, and you want to smile, but you have to sigh, when care is pressing you down a bit rest if you must, but dont you quit. life is queer with its twists and its turns, as everyone of us sometimes learns, and many a failure turns about when they might have won, had they stuck it out. dont give up though the pace seems slow, you may succeed with another blow. often the struggler has given up when he might have captured the victors cup; and he learned too late when the night came down how close he was to the golden crown. success is failure turned inside out the silver tint of the clouds of doubt and you never can tell how close you are, it may be near when it seems so far; so stick to the fight when your hardest hit, it's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit someone gave me this today and i thought i would share it with you. good luck everyone. we will make it:)

Got my results today...

Thanks Guys
I am MUCH better now; however, I need your help. As most of you know, I did the Kaplan review before I failed NCLEX, so now what do I need to do. Should I try the NCSBN review, buy the Saunders Comprehensive? Any advice will be appreciated and taken into serious consideration. :) Thanks

Meds Help
Hey, first of all Good Luck. I struggled with the same question before I took boards. They are usually going to test you on drugs like Coumadin, Dig, Potassium, Lasix, blood pressure meds, anti-depressants, laxatives, things like that, of course, there will be some you may not know on there, but for the most part, you will probably know most of them. Good Luck- you are listening to someone who doesnt know if they have passed or not, however

Just got home from test
I BET YOU PASSED. I DIDNT EVEN GET ANY DELEGATION. I GOT WHO WILL YOU ASSESS FIRST, 2 OR 3 DISASTER, MEDS, NO CALCULATIONS, AND ONE CHECK ALL THAT APPLY. MY LAST QUESTION WAS NOT PRIORITY, IT WAS PHARM, SO I KNOW I FAILED. BET YOU PASSED THOUGH. I ALSO ANSWERED SOMEWHERE IN THE 140'S. DO YOU REMEMBER YOUR LAST QUESTION?
-
So, I failed, right
Good Luck!! I hope you passed. I wont find out until tomorrow. Let me know as soon as you hear. Why couldnt they just ask us a priority question. Who will you assess first, or call first? Why do they torture us???? Oh well, either we passed or we failed one way or the other life does go on. If I failed, I will just study harder and take it again:p

So, I failed, right
So I took NCLEX yesterday, my computer shut off at like 140 something, I finally quit looking at the number and my last question wasnt a who will you assess first, it was a pharm question. I just know I failed. I did get alot of who will you assess first, if you were a home health nurse who would you see first, you have to make beds avail so who would you consider for dc, who would you call back first, one or two on you know your nsg assist understands infection control when they walk into the pt's room and...., which room would you put this pt in, 2 or 3 disaster questions, one new format quest. These questions didnt make up like 90% of my test or anything like that so I am beside myself.

Tomorrow
THANKS SHIONPN; Please everyone tell me if I am wrong about the following; 1. Always assess before implement 2. ABC's then Maslow's (does O2 come before fluids or fluids first?) Physical is always first. Pain is considered physcological on NCLEX. Safety comes after O2 and fluids. 3. Take my time and restate the question; eliminate wrong answers. Choose answers by process of elimination. Please feel free to add anything or correct me!! Thanks
