  8. Took Kaplan this past month. I think it gave you some good strategies and methods to work through certain questions. I took the NCLEX today (swearing i failed so bad) so ill let you know how i really feel about kaplan after i get my results. Others i know took Drexel, which i think has a similar pass rate for the NCLEX, but dont quote me on that im not sure, and the majority of those who took it passed. Im not sure about the cost of Drexel. See if your hospital will pay for the review course, mine did. Good Luck!

As for delegation, you may not delegate any assessment, teaching, or evaluation to any other than an RN (no lpn or cna); that usually gets it down to 1 or 2 answers. Priority, focus on ABCs, and Maslow ( physical always comes before psychosocial) Remember that on the NCLEX that pain is considered psychosocial. Hope that helps some! I take mine this thursday...Good Luck!
  14. Hey Evelyn-I would have posted earleir but for some reason, my computer this week would not let me log into the forums. What have you heard about North ARundel? I havent heard much about either one. At NAH they have retention bonuses which is really nice. They are issued every Jan and July and what you recieve depends on what shift you work (for example nights i believe gets about 2500 i think). They have also paid for kaplan and all the fees for the nclex which is nice. They just built a new cancer center and are planning to build another building with L&D, etc and some more med surg floors also. I have not heard much about AAMC. But the people that i know that have worked there seemed to have liked it. Oh, I think that North ARundel is still paper charting, at least that was what i was shown when i went on a tour of the unit i will be working there. So if i pass boards on the 1st, ill start on the 12th of July so hopefully then i can give you some more info! Back to kaplan, i got my readiness exam back and i was in the passing range ( i was borderline for the diagnostic), and still i have taken the CD quizzes up to test 4 and have only recieved the highest grade of 65%. Frusturating! And the countdown beging 4 days till i test! :uhoh21:
  15. Im currently taking Kaplan, and while it seems like a great review, i am so nervous about the NCLEX. I take it July 1st. What percentages did you get on the review tests on the CD? I am feeling so discourages cause i have only gotten 60% on the first two!! I am ready to scream! I heard it doesnt matter about the percentages, but what have you heard or think?
