Just took NCLEX-RN

Published

I just took the NCLEX_RN today and feel really stupid. I had a bunch of select all that apply, some delegation, drugs that I was not familiar with, and only one calculation. The test stopped at 75 questions. I was very shocked when it did. Any thoughts?

I will be taking my test June 18th at 0800, please pray for me, I am so tired of studying and my friends told me that I am over studying. I am trying to think positive. I am a LPN so this time I will be sitting for my RN, but I heard that it is a very hard test. I did Kaplan and I just hope that will help me.

Congratulations for all the passed on the N-clex:yeah:

How long have you been an LPN? If you feel comfortable with the material, don't overstudy. If you've been an LPN for a while, you shouldn't have too much trouble with the NCLEX-RN. I worked with a RN in my preceptorship who was previosly an LPN for a few years. She said she just answered questions from question banks and finished the NCLEX-RN in 75 questions.

By the the grace of the almighty, I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My angina has subsided!:D

I would like to say thanx to all that give positive motivating comments to people on this site. I guess we all go through the same thing...Stress, anxious, and mental break down! Good luck to everyone awaiting results and those who yet to test.

I am taking my NCLEX-RN on the 19th. I am also an LPN and can remember how stressed I was before, during, and after that test. I hope having a better idea of what to expect this time will reduce some anxiety.

Good luck to you.

Congratulations everyone who passed!!!!

Thank you for your reply, I became LPN in 2004 and that really gave me some experience but I have a major test anxiety, I did really good through out the nursing program and really I don't feel I learned any extra from LPN school, I think that LPN school was harder then RN school but I just need to get over my anxiety, plus english is my second linguage, so it really makes things harder on me. I am just going to keep answering my Kaplan questions and also my Saunders:confused:

I am starting to get even more worried than before. i took my nclex rn the same day. june 10th at 10 am and still have not gotten my results on the quick results. i had tons of select all that apply, priority questions. i only had obne math and an ekg question and it shut off at 75....:banghead::sniff:

Like I said, don't overstudy. If you feel comfortable with the material you'll be OK. Take frequent breaks while you are studying and get out of the house periodically. When I was studying for the NCLEX-RN and couldn't focus on what I was learning, I would stop, grab the frisbee and take my dogs to play fetch. All three of us needed the break and the fresh air with some vitamin D.

congratulations, vballman, rn!!!

thank you very much isis73, rn. i like the way that looks!!:D:d:d:d

Hello, I also just took the NCLEX yesterday and dont think I did so hot. I had alot of drug questions that I had never heard of. I only had one calculation and alot of prioritizing. I also had several procedure questions that I dont remember going over in nursing school, which leads me to believe that I didnt do well at all. I am a nervous wreck. I had 80 something questions. I know like 15 are pilot questions and dont count but I am still feeling very down right now. Well I just wanted to share my experience.

I will update you all on my results.
