Just took NCLEX-RN

Published

I just took the NCLEX_RN today and feel really stupid. I had a bunch of select all that apply, some delegation, drugs that I was not familiar with, and only one calculation. The test stopped at 75 questions. I was very shocked when it did. Any thoughts?

I took mine a week ago, I had a TON of select all that apply, mine shut off at 82. I felt really stupid to, like I got half of them wrong, then I found this article which made me feel much, much better, and I found out over the weekend that I passed! So hang in there!

Perhaps I can explain how Computerized Adaptive Testing for the NCLEX works. The goal of Computerized Adaptive Testing or CAT, is to determine your competence, based on the difficulty of questions you can answer correctly, NOT how many questions you can answer correctly. This is a fundamentally different approach than is used on paper-and-pencil tests, where everyone receives the same questions. "http://caring4you.net/concept.html

Thank you. I really needed to read this yesterday. It would have made me feel better while I waited. Very good information for people taking this test!
