Congrats! I just took my NCLEX PN yesterday and I have to wait for the snail mail results and I am so nervous! I had ALOT of SATA and am a little uneasy about them! Other than that, I felt I did well. Shut off at 85. Any insight?

I took my NCLEX yesterday! I also live in California and have to wait! Where did you take your test?

Congratulations!! I wish you well in your endeavors. I take my pn boards on 08/14/08 and I am nervous. What did you use to study?

i used lippincott's seven edition and saunders.....but to tell you the truth the questions on the nclex were different from the cd or the books...may be similar but not exactly the same....use your knowledge and common sense...good luck.

i have heard 85 is good, most people passed when the computer stos at 85....i took my test in nyc.

I took the nclex-pn on 7/14/08. I began studying after I graduated on 3/10/08. I did the kaplan qbank online and I read Saunders. Two weeks before my exam I read Nclex-pn Incredibly Easy, Saunders, and I bought the Kaplan book (I went into detail everything that I knew I was weak on). Two days before the exam I partied like a rockstar. I did not review anything the 2 days before my exam. I spent 45 minutes on the nclex and it shut off at 85 questions. I was not confident in any of my answers. I got 2 intake/output calculations and 2 drug questions. Most of my questions were prioritizing patients in rooms. I really thought I failed my exam because the questions did not seem hard but I wasn't confident in my answers! I was even second guessing myself with adding the intake!!! I did not let myself think negative ( I was also reading the secret) and I bought a pair of scrubs and hung them by my bed so that it was the first thing I saw in the morning. Oh yea and I went to 9 churches the day before my exam and prayed at each one =)

I live in California so I had to wait 4 weeks for my results. I PASSED!!!!

I begin my first job as an LVN on September 1st. I am so nervous. I keep rereading my nclex review books and everyone is telling me to just relax. I am SOOOOOOOOO scared :nurse:

good luck, you will be fine nothing is easy at first.once you get used to it,shouldnt be a problem.
Specializes in getting it done.

from my own experience 85 is a good number.... my exam shut of at 86 and i passed! seems like most people who get in the 80s range pass. not positive, but just my experience!!! Good luck!!!

Well I sure hope that I am one of those people :thankya:

Good Job!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I live in Cali and I am waiting for my results...I stopped at 87-89...I lost track!! I have no idea how I did...all I kow is there was alot of meds that I didnt know!! So im feeling not so good about it. Now its the waiting game. How are we one of the ONLY states that doesnt participate in the quick results!!

I believe you will be fine, I do know that the exams are all the same meaning that the comp shuts off at 75 either because you passed and they are satisfied or you didnt prove to them to be at min level..so I think that the hardest part is getting pass that if at all you are not sure b/f you sit to take it. I have known many people to haveall 265 and pass as well as 85 to in the hundreds so please dont stress out. God always finds away. :wink2: and as for your family either way they are gonna love you just the same always remember that ...

CONGRATS ON PASSING THE BOARDS!!

I just took my test today and STOPPED AT 86!!!! I feel scared, yet a little confident at the same time.... I had NO math and calc questions.. about 10 or so meds, 1 SATA, a lot of priorititzing, some alzheimer's, infection control, etc....

and I have to wait 4 LOOOONG WEEKS... Since I live in California and Cali doesn't have quick results
