  1. Well I am not an RN(yet) but I manage to give meds to 40 pts daily as an lpn.7 of them g-tubes and about 9 finger sticks and a lot of BP checks.when I first started I was so overwhelmed with the amount of work and trying to manage time.the way you are feeling now is just normal.eventually you will learn how to do what you have to do and develop your way of doing it,orientation is just to see how its done but not everybody do things the same way.watch and learn and you should be ok...good luck.
  2. Hello fellow nurses.I am just asking because I am starting there next week as an lpn, would like to know a bit more about working there.what's your daily routines? And whats your shift? Thanks in advance for any advice/tips and wish you the best at your workplace.
  3. cool story.....well i have had great experience working with females,i have even dated some of them...but i understand your point,it really can be annoying going thru that on an everyday basis.good for you you dont work there anymore....i just need some clarifycation, when you say "touching" do you mean like your private parts and things like that, and were those nurses "HOT"? if they were then it wasn;t that bad!...well good luck in your nursing career.
  4. good luck, you will be fine nothing is easy at first.once you get used to it,shouldnt be a problem.
  5. i have heard 85 is good, most people passed when the computer stos at 85....i took my test in nyc.
  6. i used lippincott's seven edition and saunders.....but to tell you the truth the questions on the nclex were different from the cd or the books...may be similar but not exactly the same....use your knowledge and common sense...good luck.
  7. yesssss i passed,i am going crazy........wow its such a nice feeling!
  8. yes nursing homes are always looking for lpns.
  9. as a male nurse i have to say that i have not had any bad experiences while on the field.my co-workers love working with me,and i met my wife at my work place so for me it has worked just fine.
  10. when it comes to health care i think you shouldn't look at the nurse as a man or a woman but as a nurse who is there to do what has to be done....same case with male and female doctor....inserting a cath is not a big deal as long as dignity is respect for the patient is shown..a female nurse should be present the same as when a doctor is to perform a pap-smear.
  11. We Are Are On The Same Boat.just Took Nclex-pn 8/7/08...no Calculations, test Stop At 86...after I Came Home And Started To Remember Some Of The Questions I Found Out They Are Wrong......so I Am Just Waiting If I Pass I Will Go Crazy If I Fail 'i Will Also Go Crazy, hahahah" Nah If I Fail I Will Start Studing Next Week Again...may Be I Didn't Studied Good Enough But Up To This Point I Really Dont Know If I Pass Or Fail Good Luck To You...
