Is there anyone in LPN School
I'll start next tuesday, Aug 19, I am so excited and scared. :heartbeat:no: I've been in school for 2 years doing my prerequesites for RN, and it is not easy to find enough time to study when you have a husband and kids. I am 25 y/o married and I have a 4 y/o daughter, I wish I would have more time to study but like I said is not easy, after school is over I usually rush home to cook and clean, and by the end of the day I am tired, and I still have to do homework & study. It is hard to go to shool specially when you are not single and have other duties to do at home, but hopefully we can all help each other. By the way I was reading the LVN program syllabus and I didn't understand what the instructor means, "demonstration of TPR and BP" that is what we are doing on the very first day. I think BP could be blood pressure but I have no idea what TPR stands for any help will be very appreciated! :up:hello prenursestudent.... ahmm.. we are done already with the TPR and blood pressure, well, it's quite easy.. first you have to get the temperature, why?, because it requires a long time for about 8-10 minutes.. then, while getting the temperature, try to get the pulse rate in the radial part.., for about a minute... then, don't get off your hand, just put it there or place it near the abdomen so that you can count for the respiratory... it's just that.... then if there is still time, you can get the BP while the thermometer is still in the armpit of the client...then... taadaa! finish..... hope you got it, coz i am not quite good in explaining(maybe..):wink2::) you can do it...!

Is it still a demand?
Hi everyone out there, I would like to ask if the LPN is still demanding abroad. I am from PHilippines and studying LPN for one year. I am currently enrolled at kENNEDy gLobal.. I am very willing to work abroad, and there is an issue here that LPN is not really demanding in US... please... I really need to know.... I am a new member in allnurses and I find it wonderful.. Hope all of you are friendly not "rude"...because I read some comments/replies, and there are some who are so mean in replying.. Hope I won't get those rude replies, coz it break my heart.
