I just took the Nclex this morning at 8am computer shut off at 76 questions. I walked out of the room feeling like i didnt know anything. Came home logged on pearson vue and it stated result not available, so i went ahead and used a debit card with no money on it and it says Card Declined Please Contact....I am very nervous, starting even get sick from it.
Now my question is what does that mean? Did i try the trick too early? Or Do i have to wait for the full 24h then do the trick.
Any advice will be appreciated.
Thanks

If it declines the card, it means a fail. The trick is almost 100%
Even though i did it right after? like within 45 minutes of taking the exam

You really need to wait 24hrs or better yet for quick results . A member had a card declined and also couldn't get quick results for 4 days (there was a computer glitch). Once she called PV they investigated and the quick results were available later on. She passed.
It's possible but not a guarantee that you failed

Thank you so much, at this point i will just wait and do quick results like you stated.

Um, no. If you attempt to use a debit card with no funds available and the card gets declined, it means nothing more than that your card has been declined for insufficient funds.

I took the exam this morning and the test shut off at 85 questions. I attempted the PVT at 1600 and used a debit card with like $2 on it and I got the pop up that said " Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time" Is this the good pop up????

You have to use a valid card with funds on it. I took my NCLEX-RN this morning as well. I used my credit card to do it in the parking lot of the testing center with my phone and it worked for me. So that was literally like 15 minutes after I took the test. I'm still super nervous though, hoping that it is accurate!

You asked a question you already knew the answer to? You KNEW you did it too early (which means you knew it was a bogus result)....but you're asking if it's REALLY a bogus result? Huh?
I think I'm asking a question I already know the answer to as well.....
While the PVT is pretty darned accurate, it's also pretty clear you didn't do it correctly. Like....at all. Here's why:
Your exam is scored twice. Once immediately upon finishing (which is why you took a stab at playing the PVT after 15 minutes). But the second is anytime during the following 24 HOURS. So no, the result you got means nothing.
*MOST* of the time, people's second scoring does match the first, in which case they declare "the PVT works after only 15 minutes!!" but in actuality, you didn't know what you didn't know, so to speak. For most people, since the results happen to be the same, they think they found out the 'real' results very early.
Unfortunately for some, they rejoice at the 'good pop up' right after the exam, only to be crushed later when they find out they really failed ("how did this happen??? PVT WAS WRONG!!"). And for some the opposite is true: they are crushed they failed ("It took my money, I failed!!") and they find out later on they had actually passed. AND they are out money, because of the non-refundable charge.
So.....the PVT is a nice little trick, WHEN it all works out perfectly, no glitches, no computer holds, no PV holds, no NOTHING going wrong at all. But it's only as useful as long as people know what they're doing when they do it....and from what we see here on the message boards, it's not enough of the time.
See post above.
While I am thankful for you explaining to me exactly how it works and how I am not doing it right. "Like...at all." I was not aware that the message could change after 24 hours. However, I don't really understand why the condescending tone was necessary. But like I said, thanks.
