Just took my first A&P test

Published

I studied like crazy and was terrified to take it...BUT I made a 95%! It was on the first 5 chapters. Feeling like my focus on really learning this material is paying off. I know it's going to get harder, but at least I know my studying style is working. :) I really am working on my goals to get to the nursing program!

Congrats-Keep up the good work!

Congrats! Studying usually does pay off! :D

Thanks! I actually like A&P so far. I heard a lot of people talking about how much they hated it in real life, but I find it interesting. Hard, but interesting.

congrats future nurse!

It's hard, especially in a condensed summer session, but you are right, it's very interesting! I was an excellent test taker in lecture but not so much on the lab practicals. I would suggest that you do as someone on allnurses posted once, and spend extra time in the lab with the models learning bones, muscles, insertion and origination points, arteries, veins, etc. I found all that more difficult than lecture exams. Good luck!

Congratulations.

Would you mind sharing your study style / techniques?

Thank you.

I take notes during lecture, reread the chapter, watch videos on what we covered via YouTube, do coloring pages, and use flashcards. We also have a mandatory study group that meets once a week.

I will def be doing that! I am a tad nervous on all of the lab quizzes, and I think visually seeing it might help with retention too. Thanks for the tip!

Congrats, OP! I take A&P I this fall. What could I do to prepare?
