Great job! Congratulations on saving a life :)

A little more detail- happened in cafeteria. Known fish allergy, student took 2 bites of fish sticks thinking they were chicken nuggets, symptoms were almost immediate and thankfully he was able to verbalize to his teacher who came straight to me. Epi was in within 5 minutes of his first bite. Definitely learning experience as well- I have some admin stuff I am working on today to streamline the process *even though process went well it can be improved).

Does your nutrition services have a way to flag the account so that fish isn't confused with chicken? OR did that happen AND STILL we did a Jessica Simpson ("Is this what I'm eating fish? Or chicken?")? There's always process improvement!

The EpiPen makes a very resounding "THWOCK" sound upon administration.

I am going until the 27TH. It is going to be FUN.

Yikes! It's scary, but it's always nice to get the first epi experience over with.

Thanks for the Jessica Simpson reference, Ruby! I needed that laugh this morning:)

We have a less than ideal process for serving lunch here and that is one of the things we learned from this lovely experience. I keep reminding myself that thankfully he is fine (back at school this morning) and we can always use our experiences to improve ;)

We got out of that one by having to come to school last Saturday, and we have school day after tomorrow as well. Stinks but I am glad we are finishing on the 23rd. As it is my own two kids finish three days before me!
