I just finished taking my test & I had 75 questions. This was my 3rd time taking it. I don't know how I feel about it. I had at least 5-7 select all that apply, no math, a couple of meds & TONS of priority, 2 delegation questions two pediatrics questions, 2-3 external disaster questions, & basic lab questions.
The first time I took the test I had 75 & obviously we all know what happened there, the second time I had 265 questions. With each time, I'm a little more prepared. I do tend to procrastinate though, which I hate.
I would suggest doing practice questions & knowing patho.
I was getting bummed because I talked to a former classmate to tell him my test breakdown, & he said, "Oh no, if you got a lot of select all that apply questions, is that good or bad?" I told him that I didn't know. Then he said, "I talked to so-and-so & she said she got a lot of those, & she failed. I think they keep giving them if you keep messing them up." That wasn't what I needed to hear. Now the waiting game begins.
Well, I'm here. I don't know how I'm doing so-so, just waiting. Part of me wants to start reading again. I took my book to work last night & read a little bit. My friend told me, "Let your brain rest!" So I put it away, but not far away. I still carry it around, like it's my baby! Thank you for checking in with me!
Hey Pie123! How are you doing? Now I'm nervous too waiting to hear how everyone did! :) Wait until I take it...I'll be such a mess! I'm crossing my fingers for you too! Hope the waiting isn't too long for you!

I tested for California, which does not participate in the quick results. So I get to wait :stone.
Well, no good news here...I failed it. But I knew it when I left the test, so I was prepared for it. Anyway, thanks for all of your prayers and good thoughts. I will be able to test again in 45 days. The good news is that I can still be able to participate in my intern program and still receive my RN pay! I'm so happy about that!
Sorry to here that you didn't pass Kristen. Thats great that they let you work. Thats why I was so nervous bc I can't even start working until I get my license. I took 90 questions and 2 1/2 hours. I was pretty sure I failed..pretty much positive but I actually passed. It sucks waiting and it blows that some have to wait more than 48 hours. Keep your head up and good luck. Remember there is always hope if I passed:)

Hang in there Kristen. I know how it feels to fail. Just keep you head up high and know that you WILL pass the NCLEX. It just wasn't your time, this time around. So, keep up the studying and when you go back in there in 45 days and look at the computer screen and say "I got this thing!"
Thank you for your kinds words. I'm not as bad today as I was yesterday. I think that the worst part for me was having everyone (family, friends, & co-workers) find out that I failed. But I have an awesome support system, and in a time like this you find out who your friends really are.
You have plenty of understanding folks here. I'm sorry to here this. Best of luck to you. :)
Hey Kristen...I'm so sorry...
I really thought you did it....45 days isn't that far away...this time you'll whop that darn test...and well be with you along the way...remember were here for any help you might need...some people have written what content was on there tests...you should print them and use them for research reference...it can't hurt...and studystudy as many NCLEX QUESTIONS (( maybe buy another book)) as you can come across...what you don't know look up so youu'll remember if you get that question again....
Again kiddo sorry...I agree at least you still get to do the intern and recieve RN pay...it will keep you in the mind set and help prepare you.... you to ACE that darn bugger of a test..................keep the chin up....you can do it...and know you sort of know what to expect.............later gater.......THRESSA.........I know you'll do it next time... :)
