I just completed the RN-BSN program at UTA last month, if you have any questions or need to talk to a UTA graduate feel free to ask.
The research class is terrible. I'm pretty sure I've posted about it before on here, but the people I was forced to be in a group with were awful. Well, one was decent, but the others were simply awful. Unable to construct a complete sentence or even to conjugate verbs reliably. There is no way the people in my group, other than the one I mentioned, should have passed the class but they got to ride the coattails of others. So, they lowered our grades and we raised theirs. I brought my concerns up to the professor and was told, in so many words, "too bad."
I'm pretty irritated that I got a B. It's the only B I've ever rec'd at UTA. But even if I were to retake the course, there is no guarantee I would get another group and being in your own group and doing 100% of the work that is meant for an entire group is not allowed. I asked.
How long did it take to get accepted? I received an email to my personal email that all my materials had been received and that I should wait 2 weeks for the review. I was told by another graduate that I wouldn't get access to my uta email until after I get accepted. It hasn't been two weeks but it will in 5 days.
Did it take more than 2 weeks to get accepted? Did you receive something in the mail too?

To be honest I don't remember how long I waited, to much time has passed. However, I am 90% sure that I got my acceptance email through the UTA email account, so I recommend doing some more investigating on that.
I found out that they have all of my materials, so I'm hoping I have my interview shortly. I'm also in the process of applying to Univ. of AR @ Little Rock. Their program seems to be planned the same way and the cost is just a little less that UTA. I applied to a couple other programs, but they were a little more expensive (Anna Maria College, Notre Dame College).
Congratulations, OP!
Common,
I am deathly afraid of the Capstone Project. I am currently in the third week, just getting my presentation together for initial post. I have my topic and supporting information; however, I have no idea what the presentation is expected to look like.
I posted a similar post looking for guidance... I am not looking to copy and paste, they use SafeAssign anyway... I am looking for an example so I know what in the world they expect so I can finish and my hospital will reimburse me for the entire course with a grade of A. Anything less and they take my money.
Any guidance is welcome. My email is [email protected] if you are willing to conduct communication for guidance only.
I appreciate anything you are willing to share... and most importantly... CONGRATULATIONS!
It's a tough program, but a great one...
Congratulations on making it to the other side... I hope to join you Oct 25th!

The research class just sucks. All assignments are done as a group, which makes it more difficult, even if you have a great group. The only individual part of the class is the quizzes you take, there are two of them, each weighs in at 15% of your final grade. I was able to pull off a B because I had a quiz average in the mid-70's. However, I could have easily had a 30% quiz average, the questions are difficult and vague. No way to prepare, just give it your all when the course starts and hope for the best.
