Is it just me, or when you're inputting immunizations into SNAP (or however you audit them), do you think about what you were doing on that date. Like, "Oh, I just graduated college when you got that Hep B!" Or, "awww, your mom took you for your Dtap exactly on your birthday! poor thing!"
And is it just me or do you do a little happy dance when you click that button and the notice turns to a green COMPLIANT..?!

I always kind of laugh/cringe at the birthday immunizations as well. Haha, I thought it was just me.
And yes, I always see my son's birthdates for shots!

Whenever a kid has a immunization on or near my birthday, that makes me happy for some reason.
Funny because when I audited by hand (no SNAP or other software) I never thought about the dates. Now I think about each one as I type it in LOL

love it! I always look at the dates and think the very same things. I'm also surprised at how well I can type them in without looking.

Your software gives you a green light??? COOL! Mine doesn't but when you're out of compliance there's an asterisk.
I do this too. I notice the September 11 vaccinations, and the ones around birthdays, and around Christmas.

I look forward to the color change after the tedious manual entry of shots!
On the other hand, when it still reads "non-compliant" after you've just put in a slew of things it's disheartening. (Usually related to polio doses being too close together...)

I do this very annoying thing where I put in all the Hep B as Hep A, because it's the first drop down box and it's easier for me to speed through it and change it to Hep B before submitting. And then I forget to change it to Hep B and have to resubmit 3 times while EACH hep is changed from A to B. I do it to myself EVERY TIME

YES. And you work it out with the kid's doc and you still can't change it in the computer and it just mocks you every time you see it.
....or is that one just me....?

Thankfully most of my "non-compliant" kiddos are Pre-K & K missing a lead screen.
But I absolutely love when pre-k kids move up to kinder and I get to add their Kinrix & MMRVs to their record and it goes from non-compliant to compliant.
Being a school nurse is weird ?
