June 2006 Philippine nursing board exam

Published

Who took the exam? I graduated last april 2006 and a candidate to take the exam but I decided to take the december 2006 examination instead hoping for a better score.

I heard a rumor that a review center in baguio had a leakage of the whole NP V and NP III exam, its quite a news in our university as well as in other local forum and other schools.

some of my friends who review on that particular review center confirmed to me that , YES, they had a leakage of around 50 items, most of which are asked in the NP V exam.

My friends attended the same review center but , it in its MANILA branch.

The leakage given to them was in a QUESTION AND ANSWER FORMAT. there are no choices, just the question and the right answer. It was given to them the evening before the exam.

In any case that it will be proven by the board that there was a leakage, the exam results will be forfeited and there will be a retake.

I hope this won't happen this december.

can you give us idea what are the subjects that came out in the board exam? and how many parts? and what part is the hardest? so that we can study hard...

thanks

memorize the DOH book

study the basics of ur OB/Pedia + newborn screening

i was disappointed with the med-surg exam

most of the questions were subjective

totally unexpected of a med-surg exam

however,u may find it useful to study your psych lessons

as these will help you A LOT!

Read Pinoy BSN for the latest news regarding the leakage. So far, it is the only site that provides latest info.

As for the other people, stop making multiple threads please. Stick to this one.

she's also just a blogger and she just quotes those news from other sites

i believe the latest that she posted is just her own words after watching/reading the news

thanks bloodytom sa pointers ha, why are you dissapointed with med surg? easy langba ang med surg...

geez...   here's another article from abs...

another nursing exam weighed

more than 42,000 aspiring nurses who took the board exams last month may have to retake the tests, the professional regulation commission (prc) said on friday.

"that is an option," prc chairman leonor tripon-rosero said on an evening news program.

questionwise, it's easy. but you'll be baffled with the choices. most of the questions are subjective so it's like choosing between 2 to 4 very similar choices. i was expecting lots of objective questions for med-surg but only a few questions like that appeared. maybe it's to be fair to everyone because the doctors would have finished the exam with no sweat

Abs cbn just pulled that out from gmas news??? they actually just repeat what rosero said on her interview with ivan.

Don't forget Leadership and Management!

In DOH manual don't ignore those topics which you think is non sense!

ahhh, i c. yeah doctor's and other allied meds will have hard times if the board exam will be on nursing approach...

hey can anyone tell me here the difference of toefl and ielts? are they equal?

and what is more better to take nclex or cgfns?

TOEFL is for USA

IELTS is for all the commonwealth of Great Britain. (UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, etc)

Better take CGFNS and NCLEX. CGFNS serves as a security and Nclex serves as your licence.

Specializes in geriatric nursing.

it depends on the requirement of the state whether they need cgfns exam or just CES.. or just NCLEX only.. most of the states now requires CES instead of CGFNS exam... so better check first the BON website of the state that you wish to apply for your initial license..

www.ncsbn.org

TOEFL has a lot of speaking and writing part.. the speaking part is recorded... on the other hand, IELTS has only 1 speaking question (personal/ one-on-one interview).. Again, check first what your BON requires you to take.. I think toefl cbt was last administered here in the Philippines last june 2006... they are now administering TOEFL-iBT...
