I'm testing tomorrow morning 8am! I am SO NERVOUS right now :eek: but I KNOW I can pass!

Hey there. I'm testing in California July 17th; just graduated with my ASN after being an LVN for the last 12 years. I'm doing a Kaplan online review and am doing at least 100 questions from the Q bank per day. I also have the Kaplan "Medications in a Box" and am studying those.

I'm a little worried about meds, though. Got a a question about a med on the Q bank and the specific side effect it was looking for wasn't on the medication card for that med at all. What's up with that?

Anyway, good luck to everyone waiting to test or waiting for results. Any advice?

Congratulations Taylor. I also took my boards today morning. Took about 1.5 hours and the computer shut down at 75.

i took the nclex this morning the computer shutdonw at 75 questions, i almost passed out..... i really think i failed because for some reason i felt the nclex was easy..... and i really dont want to take it a second time :crying2:

im sure u did fine! when i took nclex...i had some ridiculously easy recall questions...i thought i failed too...mine shut off at 75 as well...yet, i didnt feel like throwing up or crying afterwards...

then 2 days later...i found out i passed!

took nclex this morning....it shut off @ 75...had 23 SATAs...16 Meds 16!!!!! i recognized all except one (and the suffix kinda gave me a clue)..2 ordered responses...0 drug calcs (couldnt believe that)..priority...teaching...infection (co-horting etc). even though i was hoping for a short test....i still really dont know... i thougt that i would feel better knowing that it cut off soooo early...but i dont! i hate SATAs thats the main reason (hoping some were part of the experimental questions)...one positive thing....i recognized all the content matter on the test...i just think i bombed the alt formats..so i am prepared for the worst anyways. i hate waiting..trying to have patience. :banghead:

i hear about all the nclex stories but all i can say its a personal experience. actually i feel the anxiety leading to the test and afterwards is far worse than the actual test.

for those who have to test soon....please get the earplugs!!!!!...it helps. kaplan rocks~~(very similar question styles) ~~

Congrats to everyone that passed!!!! I'm testing on the 16th! I can't wait to get it over with. I've been doing Kaplan, I did Feuer (loved it!) and I did a little Saunders (mainly the CD and used the book to look up stuff I didn't know or needed refreshing). I feel ready. I kind of wish the test were sooner but I'm also glad to have this last week to just do questions. Anyway, I'll let you guys know what happens! I have to admit, hearing about all of you all that passed is really helpful because it reminds me that it can be done! Thanks for all the info and updates!!!

Good Luck! I'm sure you did fine! I test on the 15th. I'm finishing up my kaplan now so thanks for saying there are similar question styles. I just finished QT6 and got 71% and that shocked me! Anyway, please let us know the outcome.

Took Kaplan & ATI & still failed. Kaplan scores between qbank & trainer range 52-68 %. The decision tree confuses me. Going to start Suzanne's plan. Part 1 done. Any advice, other "than stay calm & you will pass," would be appreciated. Physiological integrity is a problem area. 1 year student nurse expereince on a stepdown transplant unit + 1.5 years as a student on SICU. People from my class who probably shouldn't be nurses have passed. Other orientees have (stated) not prepared like I have & passed. Support myself & cannot afford to take it more than 2 more times.

Just took mine yesterday. I wasn't nervous as I was when I took my Hesi exit test. It wasn't even the same. Wish me luck. I can't even eat. How long does it take before you find out? I paid to find out through the website, hopefully my results will be there by tomorrow.
