Hello everyone,
I'm planning to take my test in July and I am doing Suzanne first plan. Is anyone out there thinking taking their test in July please come and help and share ideas..
Thanks
Good luck everyone! Ditto to the person a few pages back that said, "I'm tired of everyone telling me I'll be fine!" Seriously.
I'm taking mine on July 31st. !!!
My scores are improving at least, went from my worst score on an area of 25% on neuro content to 75% (yes!).
Good luck everyone and congrats to those who passed and if anyone hasn't, I wish you good reviewing and passing the next time!
Thanks to everyone expressing luck to us that are about to take our exam. Knowing there are so many people out there sharing our experiences is a true help!! My family has a difficult time understanding....they say, oh you know you will pass. I wish I felt the same way:sofahider.. I do know that I have put the time in with my studies and I need to trust in the fact that I know my stuff...WE CAN DO THIS!!! By this time next week I hope we can all call ourselves RN! :caduceus::caduceus::loveya:Think of me at 8am on the 10th!!!
No one can possibly understand the horror that is NCLEX unless they are nursing students, new grads, or already nurses. My parents and boyfriend and friends who aren't nurses all say that I'm ridiculous because I can't possibly fail.
On another note... I can't think of you at 8am on the 10th because I will be in a severe state of anxiety as my test is that day at that exact time--EEK!
Hey there. I'm testing in California July 17th; just graduated with my ASN after being an LVN for the last 12 years. I'm doing a Kaplan online review and am doing at least 100 questions from the Q bank per day. I also have the Kaplan "Medications in a Box" and am studying those.I'm a little worried about meds, though. Got a a question about a med on the Q bank and the specific side effect it was looking for wasn't on the medication card for that med at all. What's up with that?
Anyway, good luck to everyone waiting to test or waiting for results. Any advice?
I've heard that's how NCLEX is. The answer you will want won't be a choice... I'm taking mine the 10th... Good luck to you!
Took NCLEX-RN today. Had 78 questions. We had a meds-pub review at my school the last week of spring semester with a lady that writes questions for the NCLEX. It is called "The Comprehensive NCLEX-RN Review" (Complete Source of Vital NCLEX Exam Information) by Patricia A. Hoefler.
I bought EXAM CRAM from the book store, it is by Pearson Education, the same place where I took the test (Pearson). It has 20 chapters with quizzes at the end of each and a CD to take practice tests.
I finally got my NCLEX RN scheduled for 7-21!! I am already an LPN, and kinda flew through that NCLEX with little prep...however.....I'm really really nervous and anxious about the RN one....
Anyhow-I was wondering if anyone had any good advice on studying pharm...I've tried for the past two years to cram all those drugs into my head-and it seems that I just can't remember!!!
I have Saunders (got it with my book bundle in school-3rd edition, always hated that book-never did me any good) and the NSNA approved NCLEX review. I'm doing all right in most catagories, but I'm just freaked out. I just started my job for a SICU that does hearts/neuro/trauma (in hospital orientation right now, I'll start on the unit next week!!)
Sorry for rambling! I do that when I'm stressed:eek: Any advice would be appreciated-and good luck to everyone!!

Just found out I a offical RN. I took my nclex yesterday and felt great when I walked out it was weird. I give thanks to god first and then to family and friends and allnurses.
Kaplan was such a big help!!! The Qbank was the best study guide I used. There was not a question on the nclex that I was not familiar with due to Kaplan. Those 1,176 questions in the Qbank covered everything that I was given on the nclex RN exam.
It is finally over, I feel strange not studying today, congrads to any and everyone who pass and will be taken the nclex rn exam.

I took the nclex today at 12:15pm and finished with 75 Q and 20 SATA!! Yeah 20 SATA and 3 medication calculations and 3 medcations. I was suprised with how many SATA I got and it seemed strange that the questions weren't that difficult. I must say the SATA weren't to bad, however I can't say I got all of them correct. What does feel good is coming home after the test and putting my feet up and watching my stories that I have been missing. This is not the first time me taking the nclex but I did hear the 3rd time is a charm and I hope it is in my case. I have been out of school since December and I tell you Iam ready to go out and be the best nurse I can be. I took Kaplan and Hurst and I tell you they both together taught me so much.
I feel good because in my heart I feel I passed and I felt god with me and he told me it will be ok to just let him handle it and I did. I was a nervous wreck yesterday and I was going to push my test back til Thursay but my wonderful sister in-law stepped in and told me I better not because I will still be worried and a nervous wreck on Thursday plus I was tired of studying and looking at Kaplan/Hurst. Iam glad I didn't move it back because my life have been nothing but the books for this nclex for the last 4 months I have put alot of things on the back burner like my family and household. I must say the questions were very, very much like Kaplan and seemed easier. I know Iam talking as if I have my results that says I passed but I must say Iam with peace with the test and god told me he would handle it. I will get my results tomorrow and let you know for sure if Iam a official RN. For anyone getting ready to take that crazy nclex-RN exam just have faith and study, study and do more studying.
