JULY NCLEX-ers!!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hey y'all! Just wanted to see who else is scheduled for NCLEX in July so we can maybe keep each other accountable to study goals, share study woes, good prep books, etc.

My date is July 11th, can't wait!!

I'm doing the NCSBN, Kaplan book, LaCharity, Lippincott and Mosby books, and reviewing ATI books from my school. From what I've read, I think I should get Saunders too... seems like the questions are good.

Thanks and best wishes on your exam.......

Specializes in ED.

I take my exam this Friday, July 1. I also feel so unprepared, but even though I'm not doing so well on all the practice questions, I'm getting more right than wrong, so I'm holding onto that hope. I have the Kaplan book, Lippencott and I did the Hurst review online. I still feel like I don't know enough, but I'm trying to remember that I'm not supposed to know it all.

Specializes in Med Surg, Ortho, Acute Care Rehab.

Taking mine on July 6th...Good luck to all...:)

mine is on july 8th! i dont know what to do! i keep on getting low scores on my practice questions :bluecry1:

Taking mine next tuesday. The anxiety has fully kicked in as of this morning!!

I'm taking mine July 11th....studying this week and next 8hrs/day...I'm so sick of studying my brain hurts!! :)

I can only study for 1-2hrs at a time, then have to take mini breaks in between. I will be so glad when it's over!!

Good Luck to you all...I'm not giving myself an option of not passing :)

PS-Doing Kaplan for questions and Saunders for Content Review.

Hi everyone! I am also taking my exam on July!

I took the Kaplan review course a week ago. I just started doing the Kaplan Qbanks today and been scoring around 55-65%. My readiness test was 69%. I think it depends on what time I take the tests, because I surprisingly always do good in the morning when my brain is rested and fresh.

I plan on answering no more than 150 questions/day and reviewing my Qbank rationales after I take it. I take the exam on July 15 and the next two weeks will be spent just practicing questions over and over again.

I am pretty confident with myself, but I know that I need more practice to really pass this exam.

I will be praying for all of us to pass! :)

My sister takes her exam tomorrow, and it's really annoying how my mom keeps on comparing us when it comes to school and all that.

But I believe in myself and I believe that God will provide. Have faith!

Definately July but I haven't scheduled yet. I'm scared outta my pants eventhough I did extremely well on the HESI tests in nursing school. I need to get on it, huh? I just can't retain so much info! But from what I hear, you can never be fully prepared for nclex soooooo. Good luck everyone! I'll keep you all in my prayers if that's ok. :)

I know exactly how you feel... I graduated salutatorian and I feel like i don't know ANYTHING. I hope this test is more of a " who would you see first " / delegation / infection control type exam because when I open up Saunders I want to scream at all the detail they cram into that book. I'll certainly let you guys know how it went when I take it Tuesday. Sending positive energy to all of us, we can do it!!!

I take my NCLEX this weekend, and I do not believe how well you did in NS is indicative of how well you will do on this test. I too graduated from University with Honors, and worked as an RN overseas, and trust me, sometimes I feel you need an Interpreter, just to figure out what the question is asking.

I have taken the test a couple of times now, and I think I finally get it, as far as the information NCLEX is trying to pull from us as a practicing clinician. Just as most of these revision books states, NCLEX is the perfect world, and we have to study for it as such, cause I am telling you, some of the process they talk about, is nothing like what I have experienced.

So my point of view is, know your content and you can answer just about any questions, by using the strategies any one of these revision books states........Good luck all and I will keep you all posted of my results.

So, I just completed 265 practice questions from NCLEX 3500 online. Boy, did that take forever to complete!!! anyways, I got a 77% , hopefully that's a good sign:) . Has anyone tried answering 265qs and if so how did you do?

i did the qt 7 with kaplan which had 265q and i got 61%. i'm taking it on the 6th and still reviewing content because i don't feel ready and i can't reschedule either.
