Hey y'all! Just wanted to see who else is scheduled for NCLEX in July so we can maybe keep each other accountable to study goals, share study woes, good prep books, etc.
My date is July 11th, can't wait!!
I'm doing the NCSBN, Kaplan book, LaCharity, Lippincott and Mosby books, and reviewing ATI books from my school. From what I've read, I think I should get Saunders too... seems like the questions are good.
Congrats!!! I'm takingMine next Tuesday and I'm so very worried for the SATA & meds, I think they r my weak point. Any tips on studying for those?
I tried to follow the advice that everyone else said about treating each possibility as a separate question. Even so I felt they were not my strong point. Some of my SATA's turned out to be pretty simple questions so I just tried not to overthink it too much. Good luck on Tuesday!
Took my nclex yesterday (Fri) at 2pm... 75 questions... 12 SATA, 1 med, 1 put in order, 1 pic, questions were very hard for me... left the test feeling like I easily could've failed this test...I studied hard, and felt that nothing I studied was on this test!!! Came home and checked PearsonVue and I got the good popup... it's makes me feel a little better since it seems everyone pretty much says the trick works, but I'm still nervous, probably will be until I get my official results!! I'm sooooooooooo Anxious!
I took my test yesterday :heartbeat, and my heart is still beating at this very moment. I had 75 questions and it shut off and I promise you I asked to the computer to give me more questions. There was no consistency for me at all. I had about 9-10 SATA, 1 locate IM site, and about 2-3 meds. I came home and did the PVT trick and the good pop up was what I got. I am still very nervous and anxious . I did do Kaplan and I can assure you that is why my computer shut off on 75, if I passed. Kaplan changed my way of thinking in 3 weeks....I would recommend to anyone who is ready to dedicate hard work, time and the $ it was worth every penny...I will keep you guys posted...Good luck to everyone, may God bless you all! I ieave you with this.
Jeremiah 29:11 - 'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the LORD, ' plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'
I did Kaplan...keep doing ur ques trainers and read rationales, I learned allot of new things with Kaplan....use your strategies....stay posituve and do the content videos in your weak areas...You will do fine pace yourself.

I took my exam this afternoon, and according to PVT I passed! I had 75 questions, about half of which seemed so easy that I was worried I wasn't doing well (lol). I had two math, ten meds, and 10-15 SATA. Two of my meds showed up twice which was ironic because I didn't know either of them the first time. By the time I got to my car, I was able to check PVT on my phone and got the awesome news. Since then I have rechecked on a regular computer. I am on cloud nine!
To study: I used Nclex 3500, Saunders, NCSBN, Lacharity, Kaplan (book and slidehare only). Two last day or so most of my scores were in the low 70's. I think all these resources helped. I took the exam exactly three weeks after graduation, and less than two weeks after registering for it. More study time would have just meant more time to stress!
Good luck to the rest of the July takers!! You can do it!
