  1. I passed...unofficially! 75 ? and good pop up. Kaplan really worked for me....however, walked out of the test feeling like I didn't know anything! Thanks for lifting my spirits before the big day!!!!
  2. I took the NCLEX RN this morning, 75 ? and good pop up!! I really can't believe it. I walked out of there feeling like I didn't know anything. Good Luck to you all!
  3. Thanks for the good wishes and sensei07 for the info...sounds similar to mine...and congrats!! You passed. Haven't heard the good pop up ever come up for someone who didn't. I'm just trying to take one hour at a time and not get myself worked up....three days to go!!
  4. Hi All!! I'm taking my Nclex-RN on July 11th....5 days away!! I am excited and extremely anxious all at the same time. I've been taking Kaplan On-Demand for the last few months and feel completely exhausted!! It seems that I'm doing about the same on all the qbank questions (avg'ing high 50s-low 60s). The goal appears to be a cumulative 60%....however, am feeling less confident about my test taking ability after the low scores. I graduated with high honors and am used to exceeding in all I do. I know that the NCLEX test does not and usually won't reflect how well you did in school, its just a different way of scoring than I'm used to. There has been a lot of talk about Kaplan and qtrainer/qbank scores as well as Kaplan seemingly being more difficult than the actual test. Any thoughts on that last statement?...and what were some of the avg scores that you've all rec'd from Kaplan practice testing?....and of course...did you pass? Thanks for the input...and letting me vent!! ?
  5. I'm taking mine July 11th....studying this week and next 8hrs/day...I'm so sick of studying my brain hurts!! :) I can only study for 1-2hrs at a time, then have to take mini breaks in between. I will be so glad when it's over!! Good Luck to you all...I'm not giving myself an option of not passing :) PS-Doing Kaplan for questions and Saunders for Content Review.
  6. Don't feel bad about something that feels so right for you. Tell your friends, family, employers etc., just what you posted. You are 19 and have a lifetime full of decisions ahead. You will come to understand that your fear can only hold you back. Allow that "feeling" to push you forward in the direction you feel is right. I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised about the outcome of being honest with yourself and those around you. Good Luck!!
  7. The maximum amount of questions is 265....and if you can't re-register...you passed!! Congrats!!
  8. I am graduating in June with my ADN. I currently have a BA in Communications and English and am debating on getting a second Bachelors to pursue a BSN. In some ways, it seems pointless as I can pursue a MSN through several local universities (bridge program) that cater towards those who have a non-nursing bachelors. However, would I be doing myself a disservice by not obtaining a BSN? I am currently working as a nurse technician in pediatrics and plan to continue at this hospital as an RN once graduated...so job wise, I already have my foot in the door. Thanks in advance for your input! ?
  9. 4.0....but I am sure you will get in. Let me know!
  10. Check your email. I just received mine. They offered me admission to the program!!! Yeah. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.
  11. Nothing yet!! I emailed my advisor asking if she knew anything about when we should expect something. She said the first week of Aug. (this week!) Tomorrow is Thursday. They found out on Thursday last year. Hopefully we will hear something. Don't worry. I am checking my email 100+ times a day. AHHHHH! Let me know if you get anything.
  12. I looked at the forums for last year's acceptance email...they were dated the 7th. Last year, that would be this Thursday.....Yikes!! I am just worried it will go into spam or something. :)
  13. Don't worry...we will know soon. I applied for the Fall of 2009 as well and am so nervous!! I don't want to have to rely on the lottery either. My advisor noted that the lowest GPA last fall admission was 3.94, but 3.87 in the spring. Unfortunately, they don't have the Spring admission anymore. I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Let me know when you find out...and I will do the same for you if you want. I just like to have someone to stress with. Haa!
  14. Yes, I completely agree with you. I am excited for the shift!!! I can't wait for the "real world" stuff to begin.
  15. Hi! Yes, I am re-taking Psych 100. I only have three more weeks left, thank God! It can be quite frustrating to know that there may be 24+ students with 4.0's and then the lottery system will take affect. I have worked really hard to have to accept I may not be accepted with a 4.0. However, with that said. I am still applying and so should you. Congrats on getting a 4.0 thus far, that is a wonderful accomplishment. Just submit your app and hope for the best. My advisor noted that 3.94 was the lowest GPA that they accepted for last term. Good Luck and don't worry too much. There is nothing that you or I can do at this point accept thinking positively. Keep me posted!!
