Hey y'all! Just wanted to see who else is scheduled for NCLEX in July so we can maybe keep each other accountable to study goals, share study woes, good prep books, etc.
My date is July 11th, can't wait!!
I'm doing the NCSBN, Kaplan book, LaCharity, Lippincott and Mosby books, and reviewing ATI books from my school. From what I've read, I think I should get Saunders too... seems like the questions are good.
NotGivingUp1, thanks for visiting us here and posting all those helpful study tips!
How is everyone else doing with their studying? I ended up ordering Lacharity for my nook yesterday! For anyone with an electronic reader, I highly recommend this approach. It was cheaper than any other place and no shipping. Of course I cannot sell it back, but I am okay with that if I pass this week! So, for the last two days I have been alternating between Lacharity & Kaplan. I have also been reading through books for areas that I seem to be weaker in. So far I think my weakest areas are GI & Cancer. I also try to review some cardiac and infection control each day since others have said they appear on the exams a lot.
To maintain my sanity, I am also trying to workout each day. I did an ocean swim this morning and then played on the beach with my family. I needed to make up for all the times I have recently said "Ugh, stop, I am, trying to study!" lol
Im scheduled to take my test July 7th. My faith is strong and Im taking the good Lord to the testing center with me. Good luck to all test takers. Im studying sylvia rayfield review book, exam cram, kaplan, and saunders. Kind of going to all books for subjects im weak in. I got the victory.
Im scheduled to take my exam on July 8th....GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!! I agree with the above post that I have a strong faith and know that God IS going to take the wheel (I can do ALL things thru Christ who strengthens me )!!! I have been studying Saunder's 5th ed., Exam Cram, Lippincoott's, and Davis's. However, I felt overwhelmed and cut back doing questions to no more than 150 a day. Again I say Good Luck to ALL and God Bless!!!
I am taking my NCLEX on July 6th. I took the Kaplan Review Course a few weeks ago and have been doing their practice questions and studying content every since. I do not feel prepared at all though and am so scared!! Good luck to everyone!!
I am also taking mine on the 6th. And I just called my bf crying cuz I feel so unprepared. I thought by now, my practice scores would be improving, but it's the complete opposite:(
Like the other posters have said, it's only God Almighty that I'm holding unto to see me through!
Good luck everyone. We can do this in Jesus' name!!!
my execution date is on the 29th!....making it a goal of at least a hundred fifty questions per day...KAPLAN is the best of all since it merely focuses on the application of your nursing skills, Saunders is good...been using it since my cgfns exam and also nclex cram....seriously guys, i know u feel a lot of i could say 10000% pressure right now, just wanna say you're NOT ALONE!...so lets kick some ass during our exam date and PRAY!....goodluck pipz...!
one last thing... here's the resource i used for dosage and medication calculations. http://www.dosagehelp.com/ i really hope this information helps you... best of luck with your test...
good luck tomorrow! & thanks so much for the review sheet......extremely helpful :)

I'm taking my exam on June 28th... I have been studying Saunders 5th edition, Sylvia Rayfield Nclex Rn Review Audio, Feuer Nclex RN Reveiw Audio, Rayfield & Manning nursing made easy, pharm, and nursing 101 books and LaCharity Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment book...thus far I have found that both audio reviews were great along with Saunders. Also, I have been answering questions from the CD from Saunders too. Guess What I'm still in the studying mode.....Good luck with the exam
