Hi,

I have applied for and received an invite to interview at JHH on a pediatric unit. I figured since there are previous threads for past years I'd start a new one for 2020 hires/start dates! Lets all keep each other informed and updated through the process.

@amyleong hey! I heard back from the recruiter but it was just informing me that none of the dates I chose worked for the manager so I had to send more. It’s been 5 days since last hearing from her. Still waiting on an official interview date! Best of luck to you too!! Thanks ?

Hey everyone!

New to this thread, but I was offered a spot in JHH's CVSICU on Monday. Excited to meet y'all in the coming months. I'm relocating from Brooklyn and am looking for potential roommates/recommendations on cool neighborhoods in Baltimore. If anyone else is in a similar position, please reach out. Wish y'all the best!

CONGRATS! I just got offered last Thursday in the CVSICU! I think I found some amazing apartments today. I think the Mount Vernon neighborhood is fantastic. You can get a 1 bedroom for $950 and under and studio for $850 or less. I have friends that live in the area who say it’s amazing to live and 10-15 minutes to get to Hopkins by car, or 20 minutes by train. Check it out!

CONGRATS to you as well! Thanks I will definitely check out the area, much appreciated!!

Hi everyone! So excited to start at JHH in the Trauma/Transplant OR at the beginning of August! I wanted to reach out and ask if anyone else is placed in that unit and what they've heard so far. As far as I am aware, nights are where most of the traumas come in. I'm hoping thats true but just wanted to see if there were others in this group! Good luck with you NCLEX if you still have to take it!

CONGRATS! Such an accomplishment! Out of curiosity, when did you interview? I was trying to gauge how long the time might be between an interview and getting an offer.

Thank you! ?

Thank you! I think I interviewed on a Tuesday and heard the following Monday via email. Best of luck to ya!

Hi everyone,

I will be submitting my application later on today for ICU. I am from New Jersey. I have my ADN and temp license. However, I do not have the required 120 hours in an ICU. Has anyone else with my stats had luck getting into the program? I’ve been applying to several new grad residency programs out of state that specialize in ICU training with no luck so far. Let me know. Thanks!

Hey everyone!

I submitted my application for the New Grad residency beginning in August. Interested in telemetry units and I'm hoping I get an opportunity to interview ?

@MissRNNJ I am a newbie so I cant tell you anything about stats but I did see a New Grad ICU Bridge Program application that didn't have required hours for Hopkins on their site.

I just interviewed their Progressive Cardiac/Telemetry unit last Wed. I haven't heard back from them for over a week till today. Don't know if that's a good time to follow up? Any suggestions? Thanks.

@vitaminb03 I would wait at least 2 weeks before reaching out for a follow up, based on what the recruiters told us! I hope you get good news!!

@knl07Thank you for your reply. I accepted another job offer months ago, and they are expecting me to start work at the beginning of July. Therefore I really want to know their final decision as soon as possible so that I know what should I do. I sent the manager a follow-up email this morning. Hope I can hear from them soon. Again, thank you for your suggestion.
