Hi,

I have applied for and received an invite to interview at JHH on a pediatric unit. I figured since there are previous threads for past years I'd start a new one for 2020 hires/start dates! Lets all keep each other informed and updated through the process.

@Notes95j oh really??? I have a Kentucky license (which is compact)... I don’t need a maryland license endorsement yet? I see they can issue you a temporary one! do you have that?

I didn’t get the temporary one! Hopkins told me not to bother getting it since I’m from a compact state! I just applied by endorsement to Maryland and then gave hopkins my VA license info. I think technically you’re only supposed to have a MD license within 90 days but with covid I don’t think it’s going to happen. I started the process as soon as I could so it wasn’t something I had to worry about later but you do have a pretty big window to get it done!

Hi everyone!

I had an interview last Friday and I’m still waiting to hear back if I got the job. I really want to work at John Hopkins so I hope I get an offer. Did anyone else apply for the transplant unit?

This is relieving to read! I am coming from a compact state too. I test July 1st but don't start until August 31st. Hopefully, I can get the ball rolling with being endorsed in MD right after testing in July.

I’ve read this entire thread and WOW!, everyone is so kind and supportive. I received an email from a recruiter today for an interview on the CVSICU! I am unbelievably excited for this opportunity. I would be relocating from Texas.

@knl07 Welcome. I had my interview 05/20 for the Cardio SICU. I’m anxiously awaiting a response. I wish you luck for your interview. If I can help you with any interview stuff please let me know. I hope to find out soon. I’m in pins and needles. ?

I can't imagine your nervousness while waiting! That time seems to pass slower than normal. I hope for good news coming your way very soon. Did they provide you with a timeline of when to expect to hear back?

@knl07 Hey! Have they reached back out to you with your actual interview date? I got an email that instructed that I give them possible dates. I haven't heard back since replying to that email. GOOD LUCK! ?
