Hi Everyone,
I wanted to start a thread for the Johns Hopkins Entry into Nursing MSN program for August 2021 applicants. I started my application this week, aiming to get it in well before the November 1st deadline . Anyone else??

I originally intended to apply to only one school, and on a whim I decided to apply to two more schools of which I really didn't expect to get accepted to--JHUSON being one of them. I got accepted to the first school I applied for and JHUSON. I'm still waiting to hear back from the 3rd school.
Haha thank you guys for the reassurance!
Part of my concern is related to affordability. I applied to two VERY expensive programs (one of which is JHU ? ). The "cheapest" program is in-state but I don't think there are many scholarships available. With so few options, I could be screwed over financially LOL. I wish I applied to more schools just to give myself better chances from a financial standpoint. But of course, there's not even any guarantee of getting in, let alone scholarships!
I also kind of applied to JHU on a "whim." Originally, when I saw the tuition & fees, I ruled it out completely. For whatever reason, I had a change of heart a few weeks later and decided to apply. It did take a lot of effort getting the 3 recommendations and writing the essays. The in-state school did not require any recommendations at all, and even the personal statement was optional.

I didn't qualify for federal aid, but I did get a (small) merit-based scholarship from JHU. I didn't think I would even get into JHU considering I don't have a spectacular GPA, but I REALLY didn't think I would get any money from them. Yes, it's a small scholarship, but it's totally possible that they'll give you some aid! Still don't know if I will be able to afford the program LOL but I really really appreciate the scholarship. I wish you the best!!

Yes, unfortunately ? I applied to 5 programs. I got into JHU, was waitlisted at my #1 choice, and haven't heard anything from the other 3 yet. It's so difficult because I'm so happy I got into JHU but I still have just as much anxiety as before waiting for these other programs to notify me!

Ah I'm in the same boat! All of the schools that I applied to are expensive. I got into one, waitlisted from another, and rejected from one. I'm still waiting to hear back from 3 schools, but lately have been considering going to my state school.

You never know, those 3 schools might have been the only ones you would have gotten into even if you applied to more! Each school is so different.
