Johns Hopkins DNP CRNA 2020

Here's a thread for anyone who may apply to be be selected to be in the first DNP cohort of the Nurse Anesthesiology program at Johns Hopkins to start May 2020, I hadn't seen one pop up yet.

Per the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs the site visit will take place this fall with an accreditation decision in Spring. As a JHUSON alum, I'm going to throw my proverbial hat in the ring, even with an accreditation decision pending for a new program.

Good luck to anyone else who may be applying. I've lived in Baltimore since I came her for school in 2008, so if anyone from outside of the area has questions about JHH, JHUSON or the city in general I'm happy to help! ?

Has anyone asked where they are on the wait list? Seems like a reasonable question but I’m not sure if it’s something they would tell us. Anyone?

I plan on accepting!

@DatAnesthesiaDoe - the deadline to accept a spot/put down a $1000 deposit will be on 12/20. I am guessing that after that date, there will be some spots that could open up and then they will have formed a ranked list. Some schools seem to inform people of their rank but others don’t seem as transparent. Good luck!

I know the official email is coming out tomorrow so I went ahead and made a Facebook page for our cohort so that we can get to know each other! It’s “Johns Hopkins University DNP CRNA -class of 2023”.

I can’t wait to meet everyone! :)

Has anyone on the waitlist heard back from admissions? Was told they would be reviewing the pool of applicants on the waitlist and have decisions by the end of January.

Haven’t heard anything. Didn’t know that they reviewing the pool of waitlist applicants. Hoping for good news!

I did hear back from that I was accepted off the waitlist but I declined as I got into a different school.
