This thread is for applicants applying to Johns Hopkins, for either the ABSN or the new Master's Entry program. I've searched a few times and haven't found a thread for this year's admissions cycle, so I decided to start one.
After lots of thinking, I decided to apply to the Master's Entry instead of the ABSN. Anyone else out there applying?
I got an email, then a call, then the packet. For those who have not seen, the FB group is "Johns Hopkins Masters-Entry Class of 2017" or the link is https://www.facebook.com/groups/366266000241770/
I just got off the phone with the Admissions office. I was told that decisions are still being sent out by MAIL over the next 2-3 weeks. I told her that I have a deadline for another school so I would need to know before that. She told me I would have to submit a written request to have my decision emailed to me, and that they were only emailing decisions to people who were out of the country?... I'm a bit dumbfounded about this entire process & I'm assuming that this means I was rejected.
No, she would not tell me how to submit the written request because my letter was mailed out this week. She told me that I would have to wait for my letter to NOT show up before I could request to be emailed. :-/ I'm tempted to call back and ask to speak to another person.
She said mine was mailed out two days ago. Meaning it should be here by now I go to school at Loyola University right up the road for my undergrad...I could of driven and picked my letter up and a fraction of the time and cost it is going to take them to mail it.

I spoke with someone from admissions on Friday and she said they're working on finishing up all decisions and that they'll be out this week! So fingers crossed!
