Johns Hopkins 2015 ABSN & Masters Entry

This thread is for applicants applying to Johns Hopkins, for either the ABSN or the new Master's Entry program. I've searched a few times and haven't found a thread for this year's admissions cycle, so I decided to start one.

After lots of thinking, I decided to apply to the Master's Entry instead of the ABSN. Anyone else out there applying?

@koral and @phineastalisker. I am also waiting on other schools, including NYU. If accepted to NYU, I would go there because of safety purposes. I'm not keeping my hopes up too high, but hoping for the best.

I am really curious as to what our schedule is going to be like during the first semester! I have already ordered my stethoscope and sphygmomanometer!

The only thing keeping me from committing to Hopkins is the tuition... yikes.

I'm not too concerned about the location, because I've been told that there's decent security around the Medical Campus. I've had friends who lived in Baltimore for years and they're all alive and well. lol

@bd33 I'm with you. Tuition is the only reason I'm having to really think about accepting the offer. $70K for 13 months feels a little crazy. I guess you have to hope that an RN from JHU means you get preference in hiring and the ability to negotiate a (significantly) higher starting salary...

I made the facebook page a couple months ago just for the purpose of using it to communicate to nursing students so i only have like 23 friends. Someone else checked and reported that decisions go out no later than March 15th. It's only about a month since the deadline, so I think we'll be waiting a little longer, but 2 months turn around is efficient no?

I didn't want the application hanging over my head during Christmas, so I submitted the 22nd or 23rd before they extended the deadline. Now I just have the admissions decision hanging over my head!
