I got my acceptance letter for the Dorect entry MSN program yesterday! Good luck to everyone who hasn't found out yet.

Im going to be going to UCSF, so I've declined and hope that means that someone else will get my spot soon!

I already had an ISIS account from fall semester Biostatistics. I have two records now- one for MSN and one for special undergrad. It could mean something or it could just be a placeholder.. Fingers crossed!

Did you get an email or an actual letter?

This is what the admissions person told me.

Thank you for your email. The decision letters go out in batches.

The first group was sent yesterday. So you should be getting your letter in the next week or two.

@arisulin did you take a class at jhu before? Or did you use your app log in id to look at the Isis account?

dcpaskie, I also have an MSN option in the drop-down on ISIS, but nothing in program of study.

snailszy, thanks for checking. A friend of mine got her acceptance and it seems like only a few people in the forum have heard, so I know I shouldn't worry prematurely, but it still feels ominous.

snailszy, I can't PM back (only 12, well 13 now, posts) but I have a login to the portal for the whole university system because I took an online prereq at the SON.

I called to ask about the ISIS status. The admissions rep said that the my do that so you can apply for financial aid-- since the deadline is Sunday. It doesn't necessarily mean we are accepted. I got the same answer about them not having made some final decisions yet... So.. Keep hope alive!

For those who have been accepted, what program did you apply for? I applied to the CNS online program, but have not heard anything yet.

Thanks! I filled the fafsa out before doing my 2014 taxes but I just revised my fafsa after I got it done and it sent a revision to all the schools. Does it say for JHU specifically to send them the IRS transcript?

Well, I FINALLY got a response! I received a letter today saying that I had been offered a spot....................on the waitlist! :banghead:

I have until April 1st to decide if I'm still going to pursue it or not. I got accepted into St. Louis University Accelerated MSN Program so I don't know if I'll still pursue JHU since I would prefer to have a MSN rather than a BSN.

@pinkeagle ooh, congrats! Did they tell you when they'd let you know of any openings at JHU?

So according to the letter, the deadline to accept a spot on the wait list is April 1st. They also stated, "The Admissions Office will make every effort to inform wait listed students of availability prior to April 15".

I'm Guessing we have to wait so long because students who have been accepted have until April 1 to accept.

But thats at a really long wait for me especially since I still have to hear back from 6 other schools. I really only needed one yes from the 8 schools I applied to. I'm just so glad I got an acceptance letter from SLU before my wait list letter from Hopkins!

Hi!! I was accepted to the Master's Entry program was wondering if anyone knows more than me about what you can do with this degree. Since it is a MSN (but not NP), would we expect to get paid more than a BSN trained nurse? Are there job opportunities beyond the "beside nuse" with this degree? And how long would it take to get the DNP afterward?

Good luck to everyone still waiting on a response!!!

Are there any RPCVs out there?

I believe it said on the financial aid website that if you had not uploaded your IRS 2014 information directly to your FAFSA that they wanted a transcript. When I filed my taxes, they were not yet available to upload, so I just the transcript. If you had uploaded tax information, you should be fine.

@ PinkEagle. Waitlist better than rejection, I wish you the best. I know some schools rank by number but I do not know about Hopkins. If they do not, they can choose whomever they wish. In that case, perhaps being proactive helps.

As for accepted students, we haven't gotten our financial aid packages, and I did hear we will get it before April 1.
