Hi all! I'm applying right now for the Spring 2017 class at Joliet Junior College and wanted to see what everyone is scoring on the TEAS?!

I haven't received anything yet either. I know we are supposed to get the email within 10-14 days after the application period is over. This Wednesday the 29th will be day 14 so hopefully we will be getting emails!

Nothing yet! I wonder when we will have to complete our physicals, drug screens and vaccinations after we get accepted! I wish they'd give us a better timeline so I could be more prepared. Having to schedule and pay for that stuff is always easier the earlier you start working on the better especially with vaccines some of them require multiple visits and cost a lot of money :( anyone have an idea of how long it takes for them to give word of that?

I was looking at older posts on this forum about the nursing program and people who applied during last years June 1-15 period didn't get acceptance emails til late September (the 25th is when people were commenting saying they received their acceptance emails). So I'm guessing we won't find out til then too if we got in or not. It seems the decision process takes so much longer now that they added an essay to the application because they have to read them all. I'm sure when we do receive the acceptance emails it'll also tell us the next steps to take to get the drug tests and vaccinations done.

Hi everyone! I am also applying for the spring session. I have a 75 on my TEAS and was able to bypass BIO 149 because of my score. I am finishing HEALTH 109 now and starting SOC 290 in July. I have my English and Psyc 101 done. I have BIO 250, BIO 240 and PSYC 215 set up for the fall. My GPA is a 3.7. Because I have A&P2 and to replace my lab science still left, I'm not going to be heartbroken if I miss the spring. I do not want to think about retaking the TEAS though. So excited to find this group!! Melissa

Hi and welcome, first off congratulations on your awesome Teas V score :] and best of luck to you! In my opinion you have a very high chance of getting in this application period!

BTW!! Has anyone received any emails today is the 14th day and according to the admissions criteria we should be notified today if we are eligible and when to go in an write the nursing essay for those who did not score over an 80 on Teas V.

I have not heard anything- it will be an email with the link to schedule your essay I was told. If I do not get in I think I am going to push off Psyc 215 until fall or next summer. I am not going to buy any of my fall books until I have to at this point.

I will let everyone know if I see an email! I know they do not work Fridays this summer- so if we don't see anything by tomorrow we will have to wait until after the holiday. `Melissa

I did too!! Okay now did either of you know you would have to write an essay because of your score? If so did your email say you are pulminarily approved?

I'm just wondering if everyone got the same email or if it varies.

Mine basically said I am a qualified candidate and I will be getting an email within two business days about the essay. I scored a 78.7 on the teas so I knew I'd have to do the essay.
