  1. Thank you for reaching out and adding to this thread I'm truly appreciative of all the information and people who've helped me by sharing their own experiences on this forum.!
  2. Dear Lisacar130, Once again I want to thank you for your input and help! I do appreciate the information you've given me. Best wishes for a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year!
  3. Thank you SO much for your input. I did hire an attorney but am unsure still how this shakes out. May I ask...was your husband already a nurse or a student? Since it was pleaded down did he have to go into a 12 step program and/or monitoring in addition to what you already listed? Again. Thank you SO much for responding and sharing your experience. I appreciate it more than you know!
  4. Dear Lisacar130, I want to thank you so very much for responding, sharing and offering to ask your monitoring person. I did hire an attorney and although there are no guarantees he thinks the best outcome for me is to get the charge pleaded down to reckless driving. Until my court date in February there is no way of knowing. He did say that even if (it's a big if) it's pleaded down anyone looking for any sort of offense will know that it was a DUI pleaded down because if the language/number codes used by the court or Secretary of State. I'm still unsure of what that means and how that might shake out. I want to thank you again and ANY information you may be able to get from the monitoring person is GREATLY appreciated no matter how insignificant it may be.
  5. Thank you for taking the time to respond and share.
  6. Two weeks ago I was arrested for a DUI. Although I have a totally clean record before this awful experience I am ashamed and depressed. I am in my second semester of nursing school in Illinois. My question is will this effect my ability to sit for the Nclex and become an RN? At almost 50, nursing is my second career go around. I'm at a crossroads because if I'm not able to sit for the Nclex and become a RN then there is no point in finishing the program. Any light anyone can shed on this is most appreciated.

  8. Nothing yet!
  9. Thanks for the info once again!
  10. August seems a long way away. I guess we should just try and enjoy the summer until then. I'm curious about the Bio 250 and 251. Did the advisor reference those classes just as incomplete prereqs or did she say not having those two in particular would be what hurts your chances? I'm parsing every comment and word because I also don't have most of the prereqs finished either. Im taking Bio 250 during the second summer session but I know that won't help me for this application period. Also, do you happen to know if we will have to retake the TEAS for the next application period(Feb)?. I know there will be a new version (TEAS 6) and the nursing department will also change the requirements a bit. Ugh, the idea of taking that test again is terrible. In fact, I took it a second time on June 13th thinking I could raise my score a few points and I actually scored WORSE than my original 73. Hopefully we can get more people to join the thread. Im really trying to figure out where I might stand by comparison. Good luck again everyone!
  11. Thanks so much for the info. Best of luck to you and everyone on this thread!
  12. I applied for spring 2017 at JJC also. I got a 73 on the teas with a 77 in science. I only have one pre req done with a 4.0 but the advisor said that would be what they use to calculate admittance??? Doesn't sound quite right but that is what I was told. I"m so nervous. I studied my butt off for that test! Anyone else want to share? Does anyone know the # of applicants?
  13. Hello there! I just applied to JJC for the Spring of 2017? I wondering if there is anyone else out there who is applying and what your TEAS V/GPA scores were? I got a 74 composite on TEAS V with 77 in science. I have a 4.0 GPA but have only completed 1 pre-req. Anyone willing to share? I would also be interested in anyone who applied last term who wanted to share scores. Thanks!
