Hi all! I'm applying right now for the Spring 2017 class at Joliet Junior College and wanted to see what everyone is scoring on the TEAS?!

That is what mine said. I figure it is going to be 5 days with the weekend and holiday. I just want to get my essay done before my vacation.

Hi all. I got my email too. Does anyone know the exact content of the essay? Is it just why I want to be a nurse? BTW I got a 79.3 on my TEAS and only need A&P2 and micro for prerequisites.

Good job! Can I ask what your GPA is? I think they tell us the topic if the essay when we get there.

I saw in a thread from a previous applying group that the essay was about being a nursing. I'll just be glad when this process is over! I am not good at sitting on my hands.

I signed up for July 19th at 8am to do the essay! I still have Bio 250 & 251, and micro to take. I only got a 67 on my TEAS which I'm nervous about. But she said that me not having Bio 250&251 done yet would hurt my chances a lot more than my TEAS score. Hopefully my essay is enough to get me in! I have a lot of writing experience so hopefully it'll be enough! Good luck to everyone! August is too far away!:yawn:

Just do your best- and if not you will be that much more prepared for the fall application. I had a 75 but only have 4 of my pre req done. Still need both A&P, Psyc 215 and micro. But I will have 3 of them done this fall.

How is everyone preparing for the upcoming essay? Anyone hear from previous nursing applicants what it's on? I'm getting anxious! :nailbiting:

I saw a post before saying the essay was about how you being a RN will impact the community and your plans/ goals of being an RN. I'm sure they rotate it every few years. I would just be sure to know your punctuation and how to be brief and on point. And not to sound like Miss America ! LOL

Anyone else as anxious as I am :confused: lol. I know Paul said at the essay session that the middle of August is when we will get emails, but I check my email like 10x a day haha! Good luck to everyone!
