Hello everyone!
I'm new to this form as I am trying to get into January 2014's intake in Practical Nursing!
I am pretty nervous since I'm not sure if I will make it this year since I did graduate high school 4 years ago but I did do a victory lap for a year in upgrading my chemistry mark with additional mathematics courses. However in the end I didn't actually go to pursue the science field in University instead I went for a BA in Psychology.
For Practical nursing I have applied to: Sheridan College, George Brown, and Centennial College (Flex); I have already done my HOAE test at Sheridan College as it is an admission requirement for Sheridan, however I was told I wouldn't get my test scores! This is so nerve wrecking!
Also, as I am asking for advice here, I was just wondering if anyone give me some advice/let me know the chances of getting into this program with the following high school marks: 12U English - 70, 12U Chemistry - 89, 12U Adv. Functions- 78, 12U Data Management - 95, 12U Calculus - 88, 11U Bio - 71, 12U Philosophy - 77. GPA in University was a 3.7. I know my high school marks aren't the greatest at all, but any advice/opinion will help relief my stress!
Also anyone here applying for Practical Nursing for January intake :)?
Thank you everyone :)!
cctori,
I'm happy that George Brown is one of your choices, hopefully we will be hearing back soon. Did you apply to any other colleges for RPN?
I really like Georgian's campus as I have visited there yesterday , but am scheduling a day to visit George Brown also. Will decide which one to go for after if I do get into George Brown also, if not it only leaves me one choice, Georgian b.c I applied to only 2 programs for RPN.
I'm waiting for a response from George Brown as well for January. I got an email a few weeks back saying they would look at applications in September and then send out offers come October. Glad we're all waiting together! Super nerve wracking, though. Hopefully when somebody hears they will post something here!
Update: so I've decided that Niagara college is my school of choice!! I went ahead and accepted my offer before the deadline which I'm glad I did because I later found out I'm wait listed for Sheridan (which was my last choice anyways) so I'm happy! :) I gave in my 60 days notice for my apartment, and the hunt is on for an apartment in well and which is extremely difficult and stressful when you have two dogs.
I do my first aid/ CPR HCP course this weekend, I've applied for osap and everything is slowly starting to fall into place.
I have to book my immunizations still and I believe the CRC isnt due until my second semester.
I almost got it now but I feel like its too early BC they want " the most recent" and I'm afraid they won't accept it and will make me get a new one.

Hey lyndsbenson,
Thank you :) I am hoping now that we know offers are going out, slowly everyone will hear some good news from George Brown. My stu-view changed in the morning and it was updated to OCAS last night. I can't wait to see everyone's updates. :)
