Welcome.... This is a thread created for January 2014 Broward College students and others who are interested in there ADN program. We all have so many questions and concerns about the program.
We are 7-8 months away from sitting in the first class of the January 2014 nursing program. What have you been doing to prepare for this? What pre-req's do you have left to take? What inspired you to become a nurse? Is BC your first school of chose? Are there any other programs your interested in?
Well those with options have choices. Those with only one choice doesn't have that same advantage...everything they did was very strategic. That's why we all should be careful what we post about people and campuses. They do read it.
As I said before the 'Success Plan' is for South Campus only. I can't believe their really basing this crap on hesi score. They really thing a hesi can determine someones success into the nursing program. This is pure BS.
I got my Email. I'm officially on the Island of the Misfit Toys:banghead: I did not want to go to that campus. All I can so is suck it up. That's all. Ugh....
I still havent recieved an email from any campus. I was accepted with success plan. I called the North campus Deans office and she said she'd send me an email for North campus. That was over an hour ago and still no email. I sent an email to Health Science 30 mins ago. No one answers the phone at health science. I already got my AA degree from them. What else do they want from me? I cant drive to south campus, its too far. If this "success plan" is based on the HESI score, then I may as well defer my seat and retake the test. This is so discouraging as a student.

You should go to central today and speak with the health science department in person.
