January 2014 Broward College

Published

Welcome.... This is a thread created for January 2014 Broward College students and others who are interested in there ADN program. We all have so many questions and concerns about the program.

We are 7-8 months away from sitting in the first class of the January 2014 nursing program. What have you been doing to prepare for this? What pre-req's do you have left to take? What inspired you to become a nurse? Is BC your first school of chose? Are there any other programs your interested in?

Don't be shy. Don't lurk. Share your thoughts.

I got the email from south. Has anyone else?

I got from south too!!!

As I said before the 'Success Plan' is for South Campus only. I can't believe their really basing this crap on hesi score. They really thing a hesi can determine someones success into the nursing program. This is pure BS.

Got south too..which professor did you get to nursing process 1?

Well I dont know what to do. I live in Coral Springs and theres no way I can drive 2 hours round trip everyday. I have a husband and 2 kids. This is ridiculous that we cant choose what campus we want to attend. They are setting me up to fail not to succeed.

Pompano Beach is were I would be. I also have a child, and half of the child care programs don't open until 6:30am or 7am. But then they want us to be at clinical at 6:15am, if that's the case I would be late for each and every clinical.

and they have you going to south campus? they should have us go somewhere close to where we live. all this traveling takes away from our studying. again setting us up to fail.

U should call or better yet go to central and speak to someone.
